This was given to me by the Driver of a soon to be Stagecoach First bus 2 days before the official Wigan depot transfer. He said they had only just gone out on the buses so I doubt many have survived and 2 days hardly gives much notice.

The Vintage Grand Prix kicks off this week in Pittsburgh.

My hard drive will be groaning :)

Found close to Houston and Lafayette. This is a very special piece for me. I think that this is one of the first street art pictures I uploaded some time ago. I you look closely you can see tha told stencil behind it. Somebody keeps putting it up in the same place. I love it and the statement!

The bracelet is mostly vintage beads, including cherry red, white pink and turquoise, vintage, opaque Swarovski crystals from the 50's, big round vintage turquoise beads and lemon yellow glass beads from Czechoslovakia, and these funky vintage "pearl " beads which add the texture to the bracelet. There is also a cute sterling heart charm and my own hand made clasp.

Today there are several #Cash #Flow #Statement #Preparation services available in the #market. There is no doubt about the importance of these statements and reports, but a professional should handle this kind of stuff only.

The Mayor of The Hague, H.E. Mr Jan van Zanen delivers his statement

(www.softballperformance.com/players-eyes/)-So if, in a fit of frustration, you tell a player that she did awful and ought to think about whether she wants to play softball or not, it's not the motivational statement we intended it to be. Instead, it's a real question that can send a vulnerable teen or pre-teen or small child into a vortex of self-doubt.

Was he making a post modern fashion statement? No actually this is a dad looking after his daughter's new teddy which she had won 15 minutes earlier on Scarborough Fair.

By the way he drives 70 ton trucks for a living.

Style that inspires!...is the tag line for the re-assemblage of this antique Catholic rosary. A statement of significance, carefully preserved with an air of veneration as a tangible memorial.

I kept the rosary strands intact, just moving them around so they sit oh-so right on the neckline...creating a three strand piece of timeless luxury. I connected the top strand with large multi-faceted round crystal quartz to a gunmetal chain that dangles various shapes and sizes of more clear quartz and sterling silver for contrast...including three gems of opulent Moonstone. The 2inch crucifix dangles a striking 7inches below the longest strand (sits right around the navel.) The shortest strand measures 18inches.

A stunning statement piece of wonderous faith! Large silver plated lobster clasp.

Artist's statement. It reads:

Throughout my life, I have always been interested in photography. Until recently, I had been mostly an "armchair photographer" of sorts, reading about cameras and photographic techniques, but never investing in any equipment to actively pursue the art. When the chance came to take a class in black and white photography in my studies at Carnegie Mellon University, I enrolled immediately. Taking the course gave me a reason to bite the bullet and dive straight into the world of photography. One requirement of the class was a portfolio of twenty 8x10 prints, which are presented here.

The majority of the prints in this portfolio are images of the abandoned Donora Southern Railroad, a victim of the collapse of the steel industry in southwestern Pennsylvania. The first five photographs present a study of a large pile of decaying railroad ties. The sequence examines order and disorder, as well as the interaction between nature and its reclamation of these objects that were once part of nature themselves.

The five prints that follow explore two abandoned tunnels on the railroad. They investigate the interaction between light and the aged concrete surfaces of the structure. Related to the tunnel images is the next sequence of five prints documenting debris strewn about inside the tunnels. Again, the focus here is the interaction of light and shadow with the subject and its surroundings.

The other five images in this portfolio are of different subject matter. Two prints are abstractions of a sidewalk. Prominent lines divide the images into geometric shapes. Also, the textures and tones in the photographs provide additional means of differentiating the shapes. The final three photographs are self-portraiture. They show me machining, one of my favorite pastimes, on an old Pratt and Whitney lathe. The images are printed full frame to give an antique appearance, as the process of machining by hand has become somewhat of a lost art since the advent of computer controlled milling.

Overall, there is a thought that binds all of the photographs in this portfolio together: taking what is otherwise dirty, gritty, and mundane and finding something clean and powerful. Each image reflects this idea.

This portfolio is presented as a final requirement to complete Black and White Photography I, taught by instructor Jamie Gruzska.

artist statement: This artwork aims to draw attention to the issue of housing affordability. The objective of the work is to highlight the failure of government to direct appropriate resources and infrastructure to the problem. The ephemeral nature of the blue tarpaulin emphasises the inadequacy of policy to deal with the issue effectively and create permanent tangible solutions to what is rapidly becoming a crisis.
