The Xhurch's 'Christmas Nativity' took place on December 23rd, 2010, between the hours of 5 and 8pm, at the Xhurch, in Portland, OR.
The Xhurch is a small repurposed church in Portland, OR that has been remade into a home studio/gallery/event space.

Was out for a walk today and saw the wall of statements posters were up already. Officially opens on Tuesday. You'd defiantly need to go and have a look at them in person.
The finish- Watco Clear Laquer Spray Gloss. Spray one coat, let dry 1-1/2 to 2hrs. Recoat and let dry over night. Sand lightly with 320 black sand paper. Wipe with tack cloth, then with cloth dampened with denatured alcohol. Spray third coat, let dry 1-1/2 to 2hrs. apply fourth coat and let dry over night. That's it, these boxes have four coats. For a heavier finish repeat the steps.

Make your own fashion statement. I'm all about making a statement. If you have time, I highly recommend creating some Wilshire Warrior Rompers for the coaching staff and GMs. The Hawaiian team coaches wore sarongs and gave out pooka beads after games. Other teams did something similar based on where they were from. Also, the team should get involved as well. Since we are from California, you should have them meditate on the field instead of warming up. LOL. I had to throw in my sense of humor on this.
My best childhood memory is not having to pay bills.

Artist Statement
For this project, I decided to make a logo and business card for my future design studio.
I wanted to convey that this would be a studio in which designs that would be considered "out there" or "not of this world" would come out of. So I had to design a logo that would say the same. That's why I chose to use the phrase "Space Cadet" as the name of my studio to highlight the fact that the work coming from this place would be other-worldly.
I made an original character to be the focal point of the design and set it above of the name of the studio. I gave the character a "dumb guy" expression to play with the fact that the phrase "space cadet" is also a derogatory phrase meaning to call someone stupid. This was to give the logo a more comedic flare.
I used a bright green instead of using colors that are traditionally associated with outer space as my main color because it once again reinforced the idea of being unpredictable.
This piece imagines a near-future workplace where environmental policy arrives not with inspiration, but through mandates and memos.
I wanted it to feel both official and absurd — like something you'd see taped to a break room door and quietly dread.
