For Looking Close on Friday!'s #autumn flora theme
I umm-ed and ahh-ed as to whether acorns are defined as flora. But this image is representative of the autumn flora I have in my garden at the moment, so I hope it is in keeping with the theme. I am drowning in acorns.
The purple phacelia makes quite a statement, set against the yellow hillside daisies, goldfields, and broad swaths of golden fiddle neck.

overcast and rainy. suddenly as though the sun was making a giant statement, there it was beaming from the clouds. it was an amazing sight that i couldn't recreate or duplicate on my own. not even in my photoshop.

It seems that shoes have been fashion statements for hundreds of years. This miniature lace-trimmed shoe reproduces a high fashion footwear design of late Victorian Britain. I love its elegant shape and eye for detail. Definitely a desirable fashion statement of its time!
