This portfolio represents my exploration of light, texture, and perspective. Through these seven images, I aimed to capture both the quiet and the dynamic moments that surround us daily, from natural landscapes to urban environments.
Each photograph was chosen to reflect a balance between observation and emotion. Some images focus on movement and energy, while others emphasize stillness and contemplation. I intended the sequence to create a visual rhythm, inviting the viewer to move through the portfolio with both attention and curiosity.
Photography, for me, is a way to notice the unnoticed—to see beauty in everyday moments, patterns, and contrasts. This collection represents my creative journey, highlighting the ways I interpret the world visually while developing my technical and artistic voice.
I did not expect to live in a world where this would be a political statement. I could remember when it would not be a political statement. Now I cannot see this and not think it is a political statement.

Artwork Statement
My recent body of work is deeply rooted in the vibrant hues of my childhood memories and experiences. The canvas, like a playground of my past, echoes the emotions and scenes of my early years. The inspiration for my work is twofold: it is an ode to the abstract nature of memories and feelings that have shaped who I am today, and it is a reflection of the myriad ways in which the past informs my present actions and realities.
Through my art, I aspire to engage the viewer in a soulful dialogue, one that transcends the mere visual experience. I hope to evoke a sense of introspection, inviting viewers to delve into their own reservoir of memories and emotions. It is my desire that they emerge from this reflective journey with a renewed perspective on their own life narratives, feeling a connection to the universal human experience of growth and self-discovery.
I have chosen acrylic paints for their vibrant and versatile nature, allowing me to explore the full spectrum of color and emotion with ease. The medium's quick-drying property enables me to work spontaneously, an approach that mirrors the fleeting and ephemeral nature of memories. The subject matter, though abstract, is a deliberate choice to represent the fluidity of emotion and the complexity of personal experiences. My style, which employs vivid colors and dynamic movement, is meant to capture the essence of my internal dialogue, as well as to represent the vividness and intensity of the feelings that memories can evoke.
In summary, this series is not just a collection of paintings; it is a visual conversation with my soul, an abstract representation of reality, and a bridge between my past and the person I have become. It is a journey of color and emotion, inviting viewers to join me in the exploration of our shared human experience.

León is renowned as a leftist center, and is the cradle of the Sandinista National Liberation Front (FSLN), the leftist side during the Nicaraguan civil war. There are many monuments and artwork paying homage to the ‘heroes and martyrs’ who lost their lives fighting for equality and for the oppressed as well as political slogans and imagery.
