Net Zero Needs Nuclear Power, Shared Presentations Stage 3, Thematic Arena 3, Opportunity petal, an IAEA Statement Event at the United Nations Climate Change Conference UNCCC held at the Expo City Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Blue Zone, 1 December 2023

The IAEA Event: Net Zero Needs Nuclear Power will highlight the crucial role of nuclear power as part of the energy mix. The Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Mr Rafael Mariano Grossi will announce the ‘IAEA Statement on Nuclear Power’ supported by 40 countries, both those already operating nuclear power plants and newcomers. Together these countries acknowledge that all available low-carbon technologies, including nuclear power, should be recognized, and actively supported. The Statement underlines the benefits of nuclear power, including that nuclear power plants produce no harmful greenhouse gas emissions; that nuclear energy contributes to energy security and the stability of power grids; and that it mitigates air pollution at a local level.

This project is a street photography style interpretation of my friends and their daily lives from my perspective. Everyone has experiences and moments with the people close to them, but not the everyday is documented. There are special moments in everyday life, and I wanted to share them through the first person.

We're feeling really special lately with all these statements.

So I'm guessing no walk with 50-60 mph gusts Thursday. :0(

I have named this necklace "Midnight Sea." Peering into the midnight sea one might see the illusive mediterranean angel fish darting in and out of a fusion of emerald and deep blue aurora borealis rhinestone reefs. Watch closely, for the glint of gold in his fins bubbles up through the deep and gives his secret away.

"There is one knows not what sweet mystery about this sea, whose gently awful stirrings seem to speak of some hidden soul beneath." Herman Melville

This statement piece reminds me of the Mediterranean sea at nightfall. The focal piece, an enamel and gold-tone angel fish, in shades of yellow-gold, emerald green and midnight blue, is repurposed from an old pin, and swims among a myrid of vintage enamel, brass, rhinestone and plastic adornments. The antique watch part is wonderfully engraved and topped with a dark blue vintage rhinestone. The backdrop is a brass neo-victorian stamping. The enamel repurposed earring hanging from the stamping reminds me of a clam shell complete with a gold pearl. The vintage chain has some great vintage beads, including the large lucite clear beads with gold flecks. These remind me of "bubbles."

My statement of who I view myself as, and also why I love being an artist.

Statement of payment relating to the bill issued by the Union Pacific system to the Grass Creek Terminal Railway Co. for two carloads of track materials to be used in constructing a spur line from the Park City Branch to a coal mine. Track materials are used narrow gauge from the Kansas Central and Union Pacific.

This Credit Card Statement guide explains clearly each field with a reference and a caption, so that consumer can understand and use as reference. This was the best approach to ease fears when talking to a relatively new audience to C. C. in a fair way. This was created for Metris by the Y&R Mosaica team that had Mayrah Rocafort Mercado as Account Director and myself as creative director supervising the creative department of 6.

This is my artist Statement for my fall quarter final assignment. Essentially my project focused on how others see the world from their own eyes and I tried to mimic this by first taking a picture of the person and then standing in their place and taking a picture of what they were looking out at. These pictures were accompanied by numbers which represented what number in the population they were when they were born by asking for their date of birth and transferring this data to the website listed below (unfortunately, these numbers that I had used previously have been lost when I transferred images from my old laptop).

The website is: www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-15391515

For example, my date of birth is the 8th of April in the year 1993.

When I was born, I was the 5,534,992,049th person alive on earth.

My pictures go in a sequence with those born earlier first followed by those born more recently. The first number was close to 3 billion while the last picture of the twins was closer to 7 billion.

Note-Grids are a tool for collecting and connecting objects of thought (in this case, words).

They treat words and other manifestations of thought as objects that can be freely manipulated to create new meaning.

They break meaning up into individual words to facilitate a more fluid, intuitive, and improvisational approach to knowledge production.

This is a statement from those pictured inside of Obama's Oakland campaign headquarters.

"We are the IYC (Immigrant Youth Coalition) and nationally we are part of the NIYA (National Immigrant Youth Coalition)

Our goal at this office is to demand Obama to issue an executive order in the stopping of deportations of youth. He has lied about it, and broke many promises, so we are here to call his b.s. and show him we will not believe his bluff no more. We are shutting down his Offices all over the nation, Michigan, Ohio, and Los Angeles are all doing it at this same moment.

This president keeps saying he is for us, but he has been responsible for over a million deportation completely destroying families."

"This sculpture was commissioned to convey and articulate the strength, security, and solidarity which parishioners experience from St. Alban's Parish. The text directs our attention to the Divine Source of this parish's strength, and reads: "For thou are my rock and my fortress; therefore for thy name's sake lead me, and guide me." {Psalm 31:3; KJV)

"Thomas Melville Chapin was chosen to create this sculpture because he works with stone which has the innate dimension of linking a sense of permanence and strength with the eternal.

"White granite, sometimes called "Bethel Moonlight" because of its luminous quality at night, was selected for its pureness of appearance and durability.

"The text, written in Braille, reminds us that these are inner truths. Rather than being raised in dots as is the norm for Braille, the inscription is cut in rectangles for aesthetic reasons and to suggest an old fashioned computer card or player piano roll ... connoting that this psalm is a code that conveys a meaning broader than just the statement itself.

Projecting a sense of timeless eternal strength, this sculpture spans the ages -- leaving an impression of primitivism as well as ultra-modernism.

"Dedicated May 26, 1996, The Day of Pentecost"

Artist statement:

“In this piece, I show how we are often stuck in our own little world. The cage-like structure shows the fragility of our world. We often can’t see beyond what we know, feeling like we are looking at a reflection of what we see every day. But if we look deeper, we can see through those mirrors and view a whole new world.”
