Mi primer startrail digital.... el ultimo que hice fue con carrete y sin intervalometro :D
Gracias por los consejos Sergi!!
This is my longest ever star trails exposure, with my previous record being 6 hours.
Taken from Oxfordshire, UK between 18:00 GMT 29/11/19 and 03:10 GMT 30/11/19
Taken with a Canon 1100D with 18-55mm kit lens with Japan Optics wide angle lens attachment. ISO-800 for 30 seconds, this is a stack of 1,013 images, with a 9 hours and 10 minutes total exposure time. I was actually imaging for 12 hours but fog rolled in at 03:10.
The camera lens was wrapped with a home-made battery powered dew band and I used a mains power adapter for my camera.
Images stacked with StarStaX and processed in Fast Stone Image Viewer, Timelapse video to follow!
There are several tumbling satellites, a bright satellite flare and many aircraft trails in this image.
I wanted to check if it is possible to shoot a startrail picture in the middle of Paris.
Turns out that it is! with the bright stars of Ursula Major / the big dipper anyway. And some other flying stuff ✈ I will try again.
📷 Nikon D5200 and Tokina 11-20mm. About 30min of continuous shooting (20s exposure) Stacked with Startrail.exe
Clear night last night!!! Sadly nearly a full moon so not quite the gold standard for startrails, but nice to get a clear night. Met up with grant_r, and got somne good results. Sadly couldnt compose this with the polestar in it, but you do get a sense of the level of light pollution from Edinburgh - looks like daylight in the photo. Also met a couple of dudes as I was heading home with giant telescopes and they let me have a look at Jupiter, and a nebula in orion. Pretty fascinating stuff - saw the bands on jupiter and 4 of the moons.
Lots of light kicking around, so this is 48 shots of 1 minute each blended in starstax. Exif below for the individual shots:
Camera // Sony DSLR-A900
Exposure // 60s
Aperture // f/4.5
Focal Length // 18 mm
ISO Speed // 200
Exposure Bias // +0.0 EV
Process // 48 shots blended in starstax

Digital Composite Photography
This is a composite/star trail stack of over 30 images. These images were taken at 30sec exposures every 35sec. The total duration of the timelapse lasted around one hour. I like this photo, especially the clarity/sharpness of the stars. I also really like the purple hue that seems to mask the entire image. However, I did have to do a lot of editing in order to darken the tower itself. Other than that, I believe this a very interesting and well composed star trail. I am very proud of it.
i don't often post more than one photo from the same day that are similar, but as this is so different from my chattri upload the other day i felt it was worth a post
single flash pop from camera right. still annoyed i forgot my colour cups that night :)

Looking west -- 140 exposures of 30 seconds each stacked and merged. The variation in color trips me out just a tad ;) I think those almost perpendicular lines up at top left must have been satellites.
The second attempt. In my first attempt I made some mistakes. So I did not do the same silly thing in my second attempt. Even though that made me waste one opportunity; I would take this result every time.
As you can see there is no lens information in the EXIF. This is due to the monopoly that Canon is putting in. It was taken with a Samyang 10MM Lens, and Canon doesn't let you click the shutter if it detects the contact. So a little tape covering the contact help getting the job done. Very stupid as it just creates disruption and doesn't stop anything. Canon never build such lens and I would be sure that they would never make it in future. So what is the point stopping all these and causing only inconvenience! I am seriously considering sell off all my Canon stuff and switch to Sony or Nikon Z. Running out of patience with Canon a bit.
Anyway; that 10MM gave me enough sky to capture the full spiral. The foreground was taken by stacking 16 ISO 6400 30 Seconds image at 10MM F3.5.
And the sky is with 240 2 minutes exposure on a H-Alpha modified D850.
