Walking through the woods we spotted this squirrel watching us ready to bolt at any sudden move!

At the Alverstone Mead Nature Reserve, this squirrel stayed to eat, rather than running off with a nut. In just over 4 minutes, I took 20+ pictures, and a video clip. This is a small selection.

The Douglas Squirrel is a type of Pine Squirrel.

My squirrel was back again today. He is still dropping hickory bombs on my deck to break them open, then grabs the nut and starts cracking on the rail. Still shooting through the glass, but that's as close as he will tolerate.

The perfect little claws just kill me dead. I know it's a pesky rodent with a fluffy tail, but they're still so cute.
