Our visiting Squirrel on the 3rd November 2013

These squirrels are in a walk-through enclosure where you are able to get very close to them. I find these squirrels very beautiful, in fact quite stunning - they have attractive tufts on their ears during the winter months. We found them incredibly clean and were amazed at how very sharp their nails were.

Das Bild entstand 2006 im Denali NP in Alaska. Während der Session mit dem Squirrel wurden wir selbst von Touristen beobachtet, da in unmittelbarer Nähe eine Bäre mit 2 Jungen unterwegs war. Wir bemerkten das erst nach den Hinweisen eines aufgebrachten Rangers :-)

Squirrel, Botanic gardens

As we left the Hilton Irvine/Orange County Airport for our breakfast, this squirrel arrived for his. Somewhat less timid than normal and apparently hoping for a treat, it was rewarded with a snack from the valet parking attendant.

I was so close to him a he had no problem because he was totally enjoying his snack... he loves walnuts, almonds,shell peanuts, nothing but the best for my friendly squirrel

This guy seems to be enjoying the expensive pecans put out for him. This is his Thanksgiving treat.

A squirrel in a tree that's behind my house.

I spied with my little eye a squirrel eating a sandwich from a plastic bag in our neighbor's backyard.

(Locally referred to as a red or Sardinian Squirrel, but more like a Chipmunk)

This one is rather nicely caught in the 5:00pm sunlight.

Their coats are starting to get more red in them as the weather is changing.
