This is our local squirrel. Singular, because there only appears to be one. He's really tame and he was spotted breaking and entering into Rob's room on the 4th floor before now! In the mornings he's often running around getting food and never runs away very far. This morning, fate conspired and I managed to have my camera with me.
Squirrel eyes, it seems, reflect white when camera flashes go off.

These are beautiful animals and it's such a shame they are so rare now in England.
I am new to photography and keen to improve so any comments with advice or suggestions would be much appreciated.

This weekend must have been some sort of squirrel holiday because the entire community was out in full force both mornings. Not only were they in a really playful mood but they also brought down one of the youngsters from the only litter we had this year. This little sweetie was a bit nervous and jumpy and didn't venture out from safety too often, though I was still able to grab a few shots for you to enjoy. Due to the rampant fires raging not all that far from us, this mornings light had a strange diffused quality to it. We pray that all their relatives in these areas managed to escape safe and sound.

The party started early this morning for these little maniacs who showed no signs of ending their holiday weekend festivities. Even this little sleepy head couldn't wait to join in.
Taken at Epcot in Orlando, Florida. Just about everywhere you looked there was a squirrel. They clearly had no fear of humans and would literally climb onto your lap to get food.
These squirrels are in a walk-through enclosure where you are able to get very close to them. I find these squirrels very beautiful, in fact quite stunning - they have attractive tufts on their ears during the winter months. We found them incredibly clean and were amazed at how very sharp their nails were.
