Unfortunately, all my recently taken photos have gone to the hell. I mean they are actually deleted what indicates i don't have anything new to upload here. So that's why i share this squirrel again ;)
I'm still getting a kick out of this curious squirrel, so I'll add a few more of the shots. This guy dashed all around the yard and garden and investigated plants, planters, and even a little pool. These are hurried, but fun. (There are 4 more shots in this group.) Enjoy your summer!
We have just returned from a week in the Caledonian Forest with very mixed results.
Wildlife was not as obliging as we had hoped a fact commented upon by many other would be photographers.
Many of the hoped for subjects like mountain hares, ptarmigan, had moved higher up the mountain and were not accessible to us who have certain limitation on mobility due to age!!!.
However this red squirrel suddenly appeared and treated us to a few photo opportunities.
They are always so entertaining and cheeky - great subjects.
I found this little fellow yesterday morning working, very industriously on a stash of black walnuts and watched him for about forty-five minutes as he hauled and husked his treasures. I wanted you to be able to see his progress as he worked the husk off ; so there are four more shots embedded in the comments.
A squirrel trying to cool himself a bit in Tampere, Finland. It was a warm and sunny day with temperature at 28°C. A Jackdaw messing around in the background.
Grey Squirrel / sciurus carolinensis. Derbyshire. 07/06/18.
This squirrel got a shock as it worked its way through the very hedge I just happened to be parked beside! I don't know which of us was more surprised but whilst it adopted a 'freeze posture, I had ample time to raise the camera slowly and make this image.
Grey squirrel in one of our local parks - Raphael Park, Romford. Always fun to visit with the grandchildren and a bag of peanuts! D500_06530.NEF. Many thanks for views, comments and favourites.
One of the "Mailroom Sqirrels" at the Idaho Fish and Game headquarters building in Boise, Idaho. Taken from my car window as I was getting ready to leave...Eastern fox squirrel. "Street Squirrel" suggests you view her in the larger size. Photo by Frank
