Well they are rather cute
Squirrels can some times give you the best and most innocent looks. But you know they are filled with mischief.
My daughter took this picture of the squirrels that visit the feeder that she built and put up in a tree in her yard.
Fun and games watching the squirrels on Brownsea Island. As I sat on a log one ran across my lap and another up my husband's back. A big thank you to the people who view or comment on my photos and also add them as favourites.
Today I was looking out of a window and saw this squirrel sitting on my garbage can nibbling away at something. As I have often done, I opened the window, pulled up the screen and took a few shots. That's photographic shots.
The red squirrel arrives at a tree branch where it can sit down and eat the pine cone transported in its mouth.
I was on campus at Tennessee Tech University taking some photos when I found this tree with 12-15 squirrels running around. This one ran up in the tree and stopped right over my head and just sat there munching on an acorn. Perfect opportunity...

A beautiful red squirrel that I saw on a lovely walk with my mum and dad a couple of weeks ago at Balgavies Loch. My mum also got some photos.
I have to admit, my shot was a bit of a twig-fest, so I've cloned quite a few distracting branches out.
This is the first Red Squirrel i've seen. These were rife many years ago, but the Grey Squirrels finished them off. I think they're really cute.

It was posing, and allowed me to take a few nice pictures from a very close distance.
If you zoom, you can get a perspective from the reflection in the squirrels eye of how it views the world...much like a 10mm lense.
This was amazing! This mama squirrel was moving all of her babies from one nest to another. The babies were screaching very loudly. I've never seen anything like that before.

The red squirrel is the UK's only native squirrel species, and was once a common sight across all of mainland Britain. Today, red squirrels are sadly absent from most of England and Scotland’s central belt, affected by the spread of the grey squirrel, introduced in the 19th century.
Only 120,000 red squirrels remain in Scotland, around 75% of the total UK population. Scotland is one of the only havens left for red squirrels, with areas in the north still remaining grey-free.
