Tons of fun making some amazing surf images at Huntington Beach!!

the entirety of the Deschutes River squeezes through these rocks and into a deep pool

Keeping cattle out but allowing people to pass through - it's a bit of a squeeze for some - is what this gap is all about. There is probably some technical name for this sort of gap; I have always called it a 'squeeze'.

just to explain...

The 8 week old Pomeranian is called Squeeze! He was gorgeous ( I really wanted to take him home... )

This was taken outside the WW11 shelter museum in Melleiha, Malta, and he belongs to the gentleman in the picture.

Short Story ...............

In my hand is a child's ring, Found it laying around on the ground.

Very spongy feeling with two big bug like eyes painted on the top.

Little primate wanted to give the big green bug a friendly squeeze.

Carroll st. station and shops in Michigan City Indiana.

A shot of the Gherkin (30 St Mary Axe) between the Lloyds and Willis buildings.

A friend took this of me negotiating The Squeeze, an aptly name obstacle in Anza-Borrego Desert State Park.

I scrapped my rear passenger fender a bit coming through. No harm done, though.

I called it 'Squeeze unit' because you can push the sides and the model changes. In this case you will have a "stellated" octahedron with triangular flaps. See next pic

A friend of ours gave us boxes full of oranges and we made a LOT of juice!!!

My new normal, like so many of us working from home, is squeezing my "home office" into some place, any place, that will do.

The company where I work decided to go ahead and close our office since we are all working from home now. They have been looking for a new building for us to move to for some time - so this seems to be the best solution until they finally do find something suitable.

SO, in the meantime my work space is now crammed into a corner of my computer room in the basement. My desk is now a card table. One rolly bin contains the most needed items used daily. Boxes of manuals and other work-related items are still upstairs. I think my work chair is making friends with my regular chair.

It looks like Ms Tripod wiggled a bit and threw my aim off a bit, but the focus and our expressions were better than the other photo. Leslie Anne and I had a short photo session before heading to the movies this past Thanksgiving Saturday.

Today I wore the same dress to go see the Tallis Scholars sing at Rice University. They sang my favorite motet "Osculetur me" followed by "Missa Osculetur me" by Orlande de Lassus. Here is a sample of the motet: www.youtube.com/watch?v=v5OhIKZ4Wbo . The words to the motet are rather erotic but come straight from the Song of Solomon. The mass uses the standard wording set to the music of the motet plus some variations. They also sang the very stunning "Sancte Deus" by Thomas Tallis and a couple of very beautiful magnificats that I was less familiar with. I love sacred music especially in Latin, German, French, and Russian. One of the magnificats alternated between Latin and German.

Just some nice fresh orange juice .... not a dirty glass, just a number of little splashes from my squeeze!!

Some very nice floral displays in the gardens at Bodnant Gardens this year, These 2 beauties made sitting on the bench a must.

A member of the Ennis Czech Boys Band plays the accordion during the 31st Annual) Kolache Festival in Caldwell, Texas. Music is one of the ways the festival celebrates the Czech culture in Texas during this annual street festival. Polka anyone?

I use this every morning now on my P.G. Tips pyramid teabags and I am just loving it.

365 - Day 153

Not sure how she can fit 14 ducklings under her

Ran the Squeeze today with a bunch of friends. There's not a lot of extra room here and no go-around.

BTW, this is not me or my Jeep. I went through already and came back to take a few photos.

Another Hareshaw Linn close up.Really struggled on that trip for compositions due to the snow and bare trees so had to resort to a more 'close up' approach.

Kingfishers (Alcedo atthis) or Alcedinidae are a family of small to medium-sized, brightly colored birds in the order Coraciiformes. They have a cosmopolitan distribution, with most species found in the tropical regions of Africa, Asia, and Oceania. The family contains 114 species and is divided into three subfamilies and 19 genera. All kingfishers have large heads, long, sharp, pointed bills, short legs, and stubby tails. Most species have bright plumage with only small differences between the sexes. Most species are tropical in distribution, and a slight majority are found only in forests. They consume a wide range of prey usually caught by swooping down from a perch. While kingfishers are usually thought to live near rivers and eat fish, many species live away from water and eat small invertebrates. Like other members of their order, they nest in cavities, usually tunnels dug into the natural or artificial banks in the ground. Some kingfishers nest in arboreal termite nests. A few species, principally insular forms, are threatened with extinction. In Britain, the word "kingfisher" normally refers to the common kingfisher.

This looks like a hand trying to squeeze the tree trunk. Was originally on the right side but flipped and had to crop original left side due to another tree in the way.
