PERSONAL FUN FACT: I remember Colleen bought three of these Starr Model Agency fashion packs at Ocean State Job Lot when we were kids. It was never easy finding super tiny doll clothes. She thought that these outfits could potentially fit our Princess Magic Touch dolly (aka Marshala), which was her main motivation for buying them. It turns out they did in fact fit Marshala flawlessly. But in the end, she hardly got to wear any of these outfits. Instead, I tried to cram them on a variety of my mini Disney Princess dolls. The shirt/skirt combo on the left was one of my favorite outfits to force on my Perfume Princess Collection Jasmine doll, named Reggie. It was a very revealing outfit on Miss Reggie indeed, and I'm not even entirely sure how I managed to squeeze her busty frame and wide hips into this itty bitty ensemble. It's a bit forlorn from age and lots of play, and it probably didn't help this fashion pack that I tried using it on patently too large dolls. The swimsuit and shorts combo also got used frequently on my mini Disney ladies. Colleen and I loved to make our dollies go swimming (whether they were using our actual pool or one of their own). So I'm sure this outfit got wet dozens of times over the years, and I'm really impressed by how vibrant it still is. The only drawback to using these Starr Model Agency fashions on my mini Disney dolls (other than the fact they were a little too small), was the shoes. Most of my Disney princesses had molded shoes, or huge club like feet. So I couldn't use this dainty Starr footwear on them. But Marshala didn't mind not having to share the shoes!

Seen at rest in Chicago, Pennsylvania 8376 "Coldwater Creek" waits for another trip circa 1967. 8376 was built by P-S in 1949. It was one of 24 12 Duplex Roomette-4 Bedroom Sleepers built for the PRR on Lot 6792. This was the room side of the car, with all of its staggered roomette windows. Note the "NN" and the "VA" squeezed between pairs of windows. Depending on the whim of the paint shop, there was either two letters or a single letter in those same spaces. 8376 would be in service until 1968 when it was retired and sold to Judge Roy Hofheinz for his Astrodomain project. The car was intended to be used (along with a few dozen other cars he bought) as part of a motel complex near the Houston Astrodome. This concept never came to be and the car sat in storage in Texas until 1972/1973 when it was sold for scrap.
