I am back from holidays at "Schwäbische Alb". It was wonderful.

I watched toad migration. A great experience.

I love to see girls in white dresses!

The Hallerbos is a magical place during the first blooming days of the hyacinths. The entire forest turns purple and blue. Here you see Addersmeat and bluebells telling everyone that spring is in the air.

the battle has began springtime is back !

La battaglia è iniziata la primavera è tornata!

WAMX 4177 West is rolling through one of the many 10mph spots the Monroe Sub has to offer as the sun begins to set on Springtime blossoms, shuttling an early 80 car L355 towards the Subdivision's namesake town.

Snowcapped mountains are in the Portneuf Range to the east.

The first significant insect of the season. An early Dor Beetle in the woods.

The finished bag!

It measures 12 x 15 inches with a 3-1/2" gusset and a 26-1/2" strap.

I am tempted to keep this one!!!

It is a large bag that would be great to carry lots of crafting supplies or I could use it as a diaper bag.

E372 passes the mid 1970s installed APP to Clinton searchlight signal on the Clinton to Laurens section of the CN&L Sub. The Searchlight is the last remaining signal from the days when CN&L was still a paper subsidiary, and this section of track between Clinton and Laurens is only used a few times a month for as needed moved like this empty coal train.

Spring time in the parish garden, no longer a pastor there, but the magnolia tree bravely holds its ground. This year I am particularly pleased to see him bloom. I need such signs especially now.

I was hoping for a little more sunset drama when I followed L516 out east of Cylon but still ended up with a lot of that "spring is here" feel. The muted sunset is reflecting off the flanks of the SD60s as they close in on Emerald. At just 26, mainly empty, cars L516 was wasting no time getting over the road and made for a sporting chase.

I used the SLR Magic 35mm 1.7 lens. When shot wide open, only the center is in focus.
