another visitor to my garden, this was quite a large Comma , I had another much smaller visit also the same day. It seemed intent on sunning itself on the decking planters and the hedgerow at the bottom of our garden
The male American Goldfinch--his yellow feathers are so bold, his black and white so striking, in the spring and summer! He comes especially for thistle, but occasionally will nibble a bit of other seed.
We finally got our first real snow here in Southern Vermont. I was going to go shoot the Weston mill in the snow, but I thought the light wasn't quite right. I'm saving it for another day.
So - now for something completely different. A heretofore unposted archive shot of a seasonal waterfall at Letchworth State Park in Castile, NY. Since our move to Vermont, it might be a long time before I get back to good old Letchworth again.
So enjoy this shot of Springtime serenity!!

When you are in the right place, and the lighting seems to be right, and you have your finger on the shutter button of your camera ... there's only one thing to do--take a picture, and hope for the best!! I love springtime!

Oddly every time i upload i get explored. Ever since that blood one. Not that im complaining! I just.. am confused. Ill explain below. (if you haven't read my other captions.) Its just really really odd. Im not used to this.
So i cut our faces off because Brent face was blurry and my smile was horrible xD
Besides i think it looks cool cropped. but what do i know? xD
So, Explores been confusing me lately. Its dropping my photos and then putting them back up. But its like noone can see them because well... i'm no getting any views connecting to the explore page. (i looked in my references) So im super confused.
I explain something like this in the last photo caption. but i felt like... well saying it again xD
Anyways. The temperature's getting hotter and hotter as days go by and its making me so nostalgic for the REAL thing.

This is that same barn I posted exactly three months ago--but of last year's tulip festival. I got a little different angle on it this time, however. It's not actually on the grounds of Tulip Town, just across the road. I've always enjoyed it though. Hope you enjoy it, as well!
