A storm blew through leaving a trail of devastation across the state of Iowa. We were fortunate with only rain and high winds. My Irises took a beating, lost some, trampled down a few that I cut and brought inside, closed up a few but opened a few more! I find beauty in all the stages that a flower takes from bud, to flower, back to bud, to dying. Behold life and death in a cycle thru Mother Nature. Portneuf Gap is at the narrow entrance to the valley that is occupied by the small city of Pocatello, Idaho. The Portneuf River flows through the gap. It's behind the trees in the photo.

Springtime weather today and we decided to point the car at one of the local preserves and nose about. We were amply rewarded for our effort--the weather was grand and spring was finding it's way to the forefront almost everywhere we looked. Even the plants in the shade were getting their mojo on.

We finally got our first real snow here in Southern Vermont. I was going to go shoot the Weston mill in the snow, but I thought the light wasn't quite right. I'm saving it for another day.
So - now for something completely different. A heretofore unposted archive shot of a seasonal waterfall at Letchworth State Park in Castile, NY. Since our move to Vermont, it might be a long time before I get back to good old Letchworth again.

Oddly every time i upload i get explored. Ever since that blood one. Not that im complaining! I just.. am confused. Ill explain below. (if you haven't read my other captions.) Its just really really odd. Im not used to this.
So i cut our faces off because Brent face was blurry and my smile was horrible xD
Besides i think it looks cool cropped. but what do i know? xD
So, Explores been confusing me lately. Its dropping my photos and then putting them back up. But its like noone can see them because well... i'm no getting any views connecting to the explore page. (i looked in my references) So im super confused.
I explain something like this in the last photo caption. but i felt like... well saying it again xD
Anyways. The temperature's getting hotter and hotter as days go by and its making me so nostalgic for the REAL thing.
