Still playing with that twist-the-zoom-with-a-slow-shutter effect. This time on some potted flowers on our front porch. I like the impressionistic feeling of these colors blending together. It feels warm and spring-like to me.

Spring is finally showing itself- in the budding trees and in the sky, with a humidity-driven rainshower moving in- at Armitage on CTA's North Side Main Line in Chicago's Lincoln Park neighborhood. It's almost noon as Howard-bound Red Line run 806 emerges from the subway and onto the 'L', with the Brown Line (Ravenswood) tracks on either side.
I just realized I have three colors of azaleas blooming, several other plants in bloom, the elm I thought might have given up is budded out, and the flame has attracted a flower in flight. Poor butterfly is a bit roughed up and missing a bit of both wings but still a beautiful bug!

Noticed this couple in London's Covent Garden enjoying each other's company. It was the pleasure on his face when looking at her that caught my eye.
Springtime at Ellerslie Plantation. Private. Built in the 4 year period 1828-32.Located out from St. Francisville, Louisiana. Cannot be clearly seen from the road due to a grove of trees. The boxwood hedge gives a distorted impression of the height of columns, (The low edge is not part of the historic fabric of Ellerslie and the house would be more attractive without it.)
The springtime of Lovers has come,
that this dust bowl may become a garden;
the proclamation of heaven has come,
that the bird of the soul may rise in flight.
The sea becomes full of pearls,
the salt marsh becomes sweet as kauthar,
the stone becomes a ruby from the mine,
