Springtime always brings out the best of the fruit trees. They have a nice smell, attract all kinds of insects. The insects attract the birds. The beauty and odor attract the people.

Another flower shot... but no excuses any more.
Again I made some shots with the old Carl Zeiss Jena Biotar and again wide open.
The weather is great, the sun shines and I have some time to spend on making photos. Thats really relaxing.
I wonder if the red tulips in the background are distracting the viewer from the sharp blue flowers in the foreground or if they are essentially for the picture..

These last daffodils and Jonquil managed to survive the storms of April and made it to the first of May! My backyard garden is ever changing with lilacs, lilies, violets and irises ready to take over. Photo images credited to Vickie L Klinkhammer of VIckielynne Photography and Designs (VLP&Designs)

Most of the trees have lost their spring blossoms already. Only some of the dogwood blooms are left.

Glevum Games "The Glevum" Jig-Saw Puzzle no 2528
465 pieces, used and with one piece missing
18 x 14 in
99,355/100,000
100K PROJECT 2018
Puzzle number 126
My first Glevum Games puzzle is this pleasant country scene by Ernest William Haslehurst (1866-1949). As the name suggests, Glevum* was a Gloucester-based company producing jigsaws and games from 1894 until they were taken over by Chad Valley in 1954.
One piece was missing but it didn't detract from my enjoyment.
*Latin name for Gloucester
