This valley, known as Whitcombe, is part of Ham Hill Country Park, in South Somerset.
It is the site of a medieval village, the village pond remains, (it is not visible in this picture). The stream from the pond, flowed through the willow trees in the centre of the photograph. Some years ago it was piped underground and is now being re-instated, after Whitcombe became part of Ham Hill Country Park.
I'm happy to report that we finally have some beautiful sunny weather and I could enjoy the lovely spring blossoms this morning without getting soaked.:)
Postet fot the Smile on Saturday theme "Blossoms".
A very well balanced tree swallow, posing against a beautiful blue sky. Tree swallows are migratory birds, arriving here in early spring to breed, and returning to their winter homes in late summer or early fall. I love the iridescent blues in the plumage of tree swallows, a reminder of sunny and warm days of Spring. Wildwood Park, Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.
We are currently in the midst of a dangerously cold arctic blast, so I'm thinking Spring!
I thought it's my turn to post a daffodil to herald spring. Photographed this beauty in a neighbour's garden (with her permission) yesterday during my Covid Lockdown local area confined walk...
Tehachapi Pass is covered with springtime as a Union Pacific manifest climbs into Bealville, California, on February 25, 2016. The middle portion of the eastbound freight is stretched through the Allard horseshoe curve.

With global warming an early spring is happening down in NZ which has Covid in just one city (two people in another town have been moved to Auckland as well)

In corona times my photographic radius is concentrated more inwards and on the garden and nature.
Nothing quite shows the time of year like an Eastern Bluebird perched on a budding branch. A wonderful promise of great things to come and making a fresh beginning.
Taken during early springtime at the Painted Hills, Oregon. The eastern flank of the Ochocos rises in the background.
