Sunshine and showers today, not great to be out in but it did produce some lovely light.

The pretty cottage at Ebbesborne Wake Wiltshire. I've taken photos of this traditional pretty cottage before. This time I've photographed it in Springtime before the flowers come out and the window boxes full. Other photos in my Cottage album.

A very well balanced tree swallow, posing against a beautiful blue sky. Tree swallows are migratory birds, arriving here in early spring to breed, and returning to their winter homes in late summer or early fall. I love the iridescent blues in the plumage of tree swallows, a reminder of sunny and warm days of Spring. Wildwood Park, Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.

We are currently in the midst of a dangerously cold arctic blast, so I'm thinking Spring!

A soft breeze lifts me higher as the pink blooms sway and gleam,

their petals drifting past my hands like whispers of a dream.

I swing beneath the blushing boughs, all laughter, light, and air,

while my border collie tilts his head as if to say, “Up there?”

He circles in the meadow grass, unsure of my strange flight,

but stays close by—my loyal guard—beneath the blossoms bright.

And in that gentle springtime hush, with sky and branches singing,

I feel the world turn tender as I drift on, lightly swinging.
