It will be nice to have the springtime back again soon after such a long and dark winter, but here is an abstract photo of an old craggy fence I came across in the countryside a while ago, which I thought made for an interesting picture with it's weathered old iron railings and the landscape around it.
Yesterday we hiked in the woods, looking for some mushrooms and no, we didn’t find any but the woods we’re covered with trilliums. So pretty.
Plants within genus Magnolia produce some of the most stunning floral displays on the planet. Elegant, graceful, so very beautiful.
I came across this breathtaking small tree on a neighbourhood walk last spring and stood enjoying its beauty for a long while. It truly was enchanting.
Named for the French botanist Pierre Magnol (1638-1715). Fossils from the Cretaceous period (145-66 million years ago) have been discovered - so these plants are considered some of the first flowering plants on Earth.

Pastel and very delicate crabapple blossoms. A whiff of wind and poof, the blooms will disappear.
Thank you for your visits and comments, they're all very much appreciated. Have a great day!
This Great Egret, my first sighting of the season, was hanging out high in this tree for more than two hours on a recent day. It moved about and turned its head slightly from time to time, but never moved from this spot while I was in the area.
This Egret is in breeding plumage, when the lore (or area behind the bill) turns green, and the bird develops long showy plumes, known as aigrettes, on its back side. The aigrettes are somewhat visible here.

Have a safe and fabulous spring day !!!!
I found this beauty near the upper trail head to Twin Falls at a Secret Santa trail to Mount Washington just off the Iron Horse Trail. It is so large and wild with water going in all directions that I wasn't able to get the whole scene. It is really something to see if you can figure out where it's at. No idea if it's named or not, I think not.
As always, blow it up and take a look around, lot's going on in there. :-)
This image of Shipley Country Park in springtime demonstrates the prolific nature of cow parsley. I built the composition around the path through the flowers, which is framed by the large trees on either side. I usually try to crop out the sky altogether on this sort of composition, leaving the brightest part of the image to be taken by the flowers.
Thank you for your interest and your comment!
