We're professional spring rollers now!

These are from Heidi Swanson's Super Natural Cooking. I liked the flavor a lot, but the wrapper texture was lacking. Next time I will either use phyllo for the wrappers or I will panfry them.

These rolls were so good! Moist and tasty inside, crispy outside.

 

- Minced Pork

- Black Peppercorns

- Coriander Roots

- Garlic

- Carrot

- Cabbage

- Vermicelli (Bean Thread)

- Fish Sauce

- Spring Roll Pastry

- Egg (egg wash to seal the pastry roll)

- Vegetable Oil (to fry)

 

SAUCE

- Hot Sriracha

- Hoi Sin

 

DRINK

- Singha, premium Thai lager beer.

It's very enjoyable and different! Give it a go and drink responsibly.

Outside sam bonds. I can't imagine trying to reach the bottom bottle while rolling.

Spring rolls stuffed with mashed potatoes.

Decent, not amazing. Hoisin-based dipping sauce, could've used more fresh herbs/flavor in the rolls. Pacific Cafe.

the vietnamese springs rolls turned out to be a lot prettier than the gyoza.

 

ingredients: rice paper, minced garlic, ginger, spring onions (scallions), sautéed shrimp, deep fried tofu, cilantro (coriander), freshly squeezed limes, finely chopped cabbage, chopped mint, sesame seeds, habañero chilies, and chopped peanuts added along side rice noodles (vermicelli).

Homemade spring rolls...yummm.

These are always a big hit whenever we make them. Filled with crabs, shrimp, pork, shiitake mushrooms, onions...so so good.

We're going to taste some great flavors today!

I am completely addicted to these things! Seriously...If I could only eat one thing, I think these would be it....the fresh veggies, a bit of chicken, the sauce...yum! If I had to pick between these or chocolate. These would win, hands down! That's how good they are.

Some kind of spring roll; too wonderful to contemplate, just ate it and enjoyed it thoroughly.

Minced shrimp, ginger, scallion, tamarind sauce; served with tamarind aioli and topped with pickled tomato, pickled daikon, popped brown rice, chilli and microgreens
