Simple spring rolls that were absolutely delicious. The pastry was crunchy with a bit of bite. It was a tad on the greasy side, but given the speed at which they appeared, it probably didn't have time to drain into paper towels.

Spring roll and sausage (with cilantro IN the stuffing!) from Hmong's Golden Egg Roll. That sausage is killer, and comes with this amazing, sinus-clearing dip/sauce. The spring rolls are filled with rice noodles, lettuce, cilantro and I don't know what else, and are served with a homemade sweet sauce. Hmong's is just a block or so from work.
Anyway, we headed towards Sasa Cafe (242 De Tham Street, District 1, Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam) for dinner. It's our second time here in 5days! See here for the first visit.
Having the delicious spring rolls (10 pieces) again VND 33,000.

I made some spring rolls, they had a veg, chicken and noodle filling and plum and sweet chilli dipping sauce. Yum.
Vietnamese spring rolls! I love these. They were fresh--didn't leave a bad, lingering aftertaste like America's MSG-filled spring rolls.

Lumpiang Shanghai, more commonly known as Spring Rolls, are deep-fried “dumpling logs.” Made of ground pork, shrimp, and veggies, the resulting mixture is put on Lumpia wrapper. It’s then rolled and fried until crisp and golden brown. Commonly served with sweet and sour sauce for dipping, Lumpiang Shanghai is popular as finger food, or with rice. A mix of savory flavors and crisp textures, it’s one dish that’s always welcome, whether it be a fancy party, a fiesta, or an everyday meal. This is one Binalot (wrapped) dish that’s sure to please.
