This lovely thatched cottage is so lovingly and idyllically tended, it feels like it has come out of a “dear old Ireland of bygone days” world. I have to say when I do go for my local 3km walk, I love passing it and am always tempted to take a photo. I restrain myself and only give in a few times as I want to respect the privacy of the owners.
Before the wildflowers come out, we get the wildlife as Spring emerges, as seen here at the For-Mar Nature Preserve and Arboretum, March 26, 2023.
A pretty tight crop of an image which didn't turn out that great, but since I really like the shapes of the liverleafs in the bokeh I decided to go for a bokeh only image! Hope you like this quite abstract one!

After our long Minnesota winters, the arrival of a spring storm rolling in brings a promise of rebirth as the rains will result in long dormant vegetation springing to life with a depth of green that is not easily duplicated by paint or a child's colors. There is a moment of quietness before the wind picks up and the birds swaying on reeds take advantage to sing even if noone is in the audience.
Just experimenting with ICM, think it works here - but only from a distance, don't view large!! Preferably from another room... ha :)

Sigh. Supposed to snow tonight. lol Warming up quite a bit, after that. These little beauties in my front yard, are usually the first colour that we get.

A cold wind blows in off the sea masking the weak warmth of the early spring sun. It buffets me intermittently, as if it's trying to cause me to stumble and fall. It's enough to make me uneasy along the narrow track. I stop to put on a jacket and the ewe eyes me cautiously, deciding whether I'm a threat or not. She settles and with her the lamb. An unspoken moment of understanding, an equilibrium that can't last. I move on.
