Evening Beauty
by TA Ramesh
Are we created to appreciate in wonder the beauty around us?
What a beautiful Sky it is in the evening at the Sun set!
Our eyes are created perhaps to wonder at the beauty of the setting Sun
Beautifully changing the colors of the Western Sky!
Our ears are created perhaps to hear the music of the birds
Flying across the evening Sky in rapturous mood to rest in the nest!
Our nose is created perhaps to enjoy the smell of Jasmine in the breeze
That comes from the South for this grand purpose though lasts for a while!
Our mouth is created perhaps to eat the best and talk of this beauty in the Roof Garden,
The best creation of man to enjoy and appreciate the beauty of Nature!
Our body is created perhaps to feel the thrill of the breeze in the pleasant evening
That animates the beauty of the atmosphere never to be missed at any time!
And our brain is created perhaps to remember and appreciate the Greatness of God
Responsible for the creation of this pleasant splendor in wonder!
The Earth itself is created perhaps to rotate from the West to the East
For man to enjoy this beautiful visual effect on the Sky Canvas!
Also, the wavy Sea is created perhaps to move in rhythmic motion
For man to think and write Visual Poetry in appreciation of this beauty so!
Shooting Star are some of the most colorful wildflowers. I spotted these fine specimens along the Buttermilk Bend Trail in the South Yuba River State Park. The Buttermilk Bend Trail is a wonderful place to see a wide variety of wildflowers blooming.

Crystal Pool is an oasis in the Amargosa valley part of Ash Meadows National Wildlife Refuge. Water, more than 10,000 gallon per minute flow from seven major springs is a key resource for this unique desert habitat in the dry north Mojave Desert. The waters come from a vast underground aquifer that is forced to the surface by a geologic fault acting as an underground dam. Twenty-six species here are Endemic and found only here. There are four native fish species on the refuge. These include the Ash Meadows Amargosa pupfish. A tiny 1 inch long fish, the blue-colored males and greenish females have adapted to live in the clear waters which can be as wam as 93° F. South Nevada, U.S.A.
More snow here this morning. Hope the east coast doesn't get the perfect storm, as predicted. Spring into winter!
On the abandoned P&W/N&W bridge. It overgrows so much in the summer that parts of it are hard to cross over. Copperhead snakes like to hang out in the cover. About the rails here, those are not narrow gauge. They are only the inner guard rails. The outer ones have been gone as long as I can remember.
Monday we took a little road trip to the Northern Division of Kettle Moraine State Park. Mauthie Lake is inland from Lake Michigan and the land temperature was about 10 F warmer than where we live. We arrived early and had a wonderful walk before the trails started to crowd up. It was a perfect Wisconsin Spring day.
Here's a link to more information about the area. The terrain was shaped by the last Ice Age.

I noticed how many gorgeous flowers were blooming in my front yard, so decided to do a quick shoot with No-Bangs Francie and TNT Skipper, who were already in their Spring finery! (Francie in 'Floating-In' from 1968 and Skipper in 'Fancy Pants- without the pants! - from 1970.)

It's lovely to see life and colours return to the gardens and parks. Among the first flowers are always the pretty spring squills (Scillas) which dot the meadows along with crocus flowers and daisies. They are flowering in my garden too at the moment but this is a photo I took at the park Bluehendes Barock at Ludwigsburg.
