Quinault Rainforest, Olympic National Forest, Washington
The mild winters and prodigious annual rainfall on the Pacific coast side of the Olympic Peninsula have produced several temperate rainforests. We are in the Quinault Valley, carved by glaciers and now filled with a lake and a riot of forest greenery. In this scene from the Quinault rainforest, the trunk of a large spruce is surrounded by moss-covered maple trees in their early spring leaves.
... and Cleo.
Cleo was sitting on the porch and the blooming tamarisk tree in a neighbouring garden made a lovely background. She was trying to silence the neighbour's dogs by the power of her gaze and that often works surprisingly well !

Hello Everyone!
These were puffy, pale, pink blooms. (Say that ten times in a row)! Even though they were delicate and lovely as is, I thought it would be really neat to play with colour. Surprisingly, this spray of blooms also looked quite nice in monochrome. Happy Slider's Sunday! HSS!

I needed to included some kind of flower arrangement... I decided to stick to these Spring like shades. These wee flowers are made with thrifted hat felt and I made the beaded centers as well.
The old B Road to Shoreham is a beautiful drive in spring through the woodland road either side has beautiful trees and bluebells for about 2 miles..

Today is first day of the Spring people! Love the Sun! I can not wait for more sunny and warm days.
Homage to ee cummings:
Spring is like a perhaps hand
which comes carefully
out of nowhere
arranging a scene into
which people look arranging
and changing placing carefully
a strange thing and a known
thing here and there
changing everything carefully
to and fro moving new and
old things, while
people stare carefully
moving a perhaps
fraction of a flower here
placing an inch of air there
and without breaking anything.
