This was messing around a little and having fun, the image is from the harbour in North Berwick and I wanted to see how far I could play with the image without breaking the original image concept.
An alternative submission for this week's Macro Mondays 'condiments' theme. A five image focus stack of a back-lit (using a reflector and natural window light) mixture of balsamic vinegar and olive oil mixed in a glass dish. Converted to mono in Silver Efex Pro and then split toned in Lightroom.

As you can see from the light and the crude separation in the middle, this is actually a quick montage of two separate photos. I made it look like the statues are facing each other, which gives a whole new dimension to their facial expressions.

Split-toned stitched shot of the Humber Bridge in England. Used a 10-stop ND filter for very long exposures to smooth out the water and the sky.
Angels at Nottingham Road Cemetery...I can’t help feeling a sense of morbid fascination when looking at these monuments.
The Victorians did have a certain style when it came to celebrating someone who had shuffled off this mortal coil.
I did note however, as I read the epitaphs, that falling asleep in those times was swiftly followed by being interred!

View of Sentinel Rock and the Merced River from Swinging Bridge in Yosemite National Park. Converted to black and white and split tone the highlights with amber and the shadows with cyan. I then pushed the highlights to intensify the light bloom behind the rock formation.

Today was a very tricky day indeed. On top of being a busy day at work, the weather has been just awful. Very low cloud, mist, rain, exceptionally low light all day. This was a real challenge today!
