It was about this time of night that we set out on a falling tide and a waxing quarter moon. I looked back through the strait to see the twinkling of our home’s gas lights, knowing you were there pacing in the night breeze the way you always did along the widow’s peak. That was lifetimes ago and how blessed are we that we happened to find one another in this life, that we will always be.
