An abstract ice formation on one of the rocks beside the waterfall at the Loup of Fintry in Scotland. Ice stacked upon ice upon rock.
I had visited this site with my friend, Kevin Wallace, between Christmas and New Year. While the waterfall itself is stunning, I was also very much taken by the abstract ice formations on the nearby rocks - very beautiful.
A mono conversion in Silver Efex Pro was coloured using Split Toning in Lightroom.
Angels at Nottingham Road Cemetery...I can’t help feeling a sense of morbid fascination when looking at these monuments.
The Victorians did have a certain style when it came to celebrating someone who had shuffled off this mortal coil.
I did note however, as I read the epitaphs, that falling asleep in those times was swiftly followed by being interred!

View of Sentinel Rock and the Merced River from Swinging Bridge in Yosemite National Park. Converted to black and white and split tone the highlights with amber and the shadows with cyan. I then pushed the highlights to intensify the light bloom behind the rock formation.
Winchelsea Beach, East Sussex
This is one of the few shots I managed to grab on our first afternoon here. As we arrived we could see a heavy mist rolling in from the sea. Within 15 minutes the light had gone and though we lingered a while longer, it soon became evident the mist was there to stay.
Converted to B&W in Silver Efex Pro and then split toned. This is the first time I've tried split toning. I'm not sure about the result so would welcome any feedback from anyone who has done this kind of toning before.

Slightly different pov of this boulder strewn passage through the Millstone Grit rock formations at Brimham Rocks, North Yorkshire, England. Couldn't decide which to post initially, so have posted both now.
Am I wrong?
Have I run to far to get home?
Have I gone, and left you here alone?
If I would?
Could you?

Number 301 of my 365 photo challenge - A split-toned, landscape image of a tree tunnel with a carpet of fallen Autumn leaves marking the way.
Today was a very tricky day indeed. On top of being a busy day at work, the weather has been just awful. Very low cloud, mist, rain, exceptionally low light all day. This was a real challenge today!
I have left Calle Elvira and am making my way up the hill. I did not take this route but it is a toward the top. I applied a split tone in an effort to make it look like it was taken many years ago. I may have been too heavy handed. I think much here has been this way for a long time. HSS
Impressed by those colours (clearly adjusted with lightroomn :))
First session with my new nikkor 70-300 mm VR 5.6. I think i'll love it.

Number 228 of my 365 photo challenge - A split-toned, macro image of a White butterfly taking pollen from a Rough Hawkbit flower in a meadow.
This was taken handheld. Anyone watching me get this shot would have thought I was very odd. Running around a meadow chasing something too small to see and occasionally going prone to take a couple of shots then jumping back up with an exasperated exclamation due to not getting the shot! ;-)
