A Sky Burial is a type of funeral specific to the highlands of Central-East Asia, practised by a number of religions, including the Buddhists of Tibet, Qinghai and Sichuan. The most essential ingredient: Vultures. Hence SKY Burial ....
Basically it is, as with so many things associated with Culture, something born from the constraints and demans of geography: highlands with hard, rocky soil (no Ground Burial) + a very high altitude meaning a scarcity of trees and hence firewood (no Fire Bural) + an abundance of vultures + people doing what we all do: dieing = Sky Burials. Add to that a circular religion where what you give is what you get (kharma) + a nature bound religion + reincarnation = what is left behind is an empty vessel (meat, if you wish). All this fits in perfectly with another central tenant of Buddhism: "I lived off you, now you live off me".
There are different forms of Sky Burials which you can google for more info: ones with no fire and ones with a small amount of wood (part-cremation). We witnessed the last form, usually reserved for rather important people. Obviously we left before the vultures got to the partly cremated body.
Apparently the top clergy are not disposed of in either of these manners. Read more on google if you wish

The Viennese City Park stretches from the park ring in the first district of Vienna up to the Haymarket in the third district of Vienna and is a of both tourists and local citizens well-visited park in Vienna. Its area is 65,000 m².
History
Yet in the Biedermeier the Water Glacis was a popular entertainment venue before the Karolinenstadttor (city gate). As part of the by the demolition of the city wall happened remodeling in the Ringstrasse, the project of a public park has been promoted on that site by the then Mayor of Vienna, Andreas Zelinka. This park was designed in the style of English gardens by the landscape painter Josef Selleny, the plannings were carried out by the city gardener Rudolf Siebeck. On 21th August 1862 the city park was opened as the first public park in Vienna.

On the right bank of the river Wien (Wienfluss) was 1863 the so-called children's park, today mainly characterized by paved playgrounds and sports facilities, which over the Karoline bridge (Karolinenbrücke) (since 1918 Stadtparkbrücke), built in 1857, with the on the left bank situated town park is connected.
In the years 1903-1907 was in the parking area after the regulation a by Friedrich Ohmann and Josef Hackhofer planned Vienna river engineering structure with the river gate, pavilions and river banks built, which is one of the sights in the park.
In earlier times visitors of the park for the stay in placed chairs had to pay fees that were collected by the chair women (the so-called Sesselweiber).

Kursalon
The Kursalon
The water Glacis was a spa pavilion in which healing waters for drinking cures were served. To that affect, in the years 1865 to 1867 for the city park also the Kursalon was built according to plans of Johann Garben. This historicist imposing home in the style of the Italian Renaissanceg is located at the John street (Johannesgasse) and has a large terrace in the park:
After the opening on 8th May 1867 were originally forbidden pleasures. As this concept was not adopted, yet on 15th October in 1868 was taking place the first concert of Johann Strauss (son) whereupon became the Kursalon a popular dance and concert venue in particular at the time of the Strauss brothers. Today, the Kursalon after a renovation phase is again venue for balls, concerts, clubbings and conferences and houses a café-restaurant.

Monuments
With the gilded bronze statue of Johann Strauss (son) stands in the city park one of the best known and most frequently photographed monuments in Vienna. It was on 26th June 1921 unveiled and is framed of a marble relief by Edmund Hellmer. The gilding was removed in 1935 and in 1991 applied again. Other monuments there are, for example, of Franz Schubert, Franz Lehar and Robert Stolz and Hans Makart, the City Park is in monuments and sculptures the richest park in Vienna.
The dairy (Meierei)
The former milk bar was built as part of the Wienflußverbauung (Vienna river engineering structure) according to plans by Friedrich Ohmann and Josef Hackhofer from 1901 until 1903. After suffering heavy damages during the Second World War the building was extended in the reconstruction. Today is in the dairy after another annex a restaurant.
Planting
The planting of the city park is characterized by a great diversity of species and is, as possible, focused on a year-round flowering. Through an avenue to the ring road noise and exhaust gases are filtered. Some trees are protected, such as a ginkgo, a crown of thorns (Honeylocust, Christusdorn), cottonwood tree and Caucasian wingnut.
Commissioned by Dancing in the Streets and Casita Maria Center for Arts & Education as part of The South Bronx Culture Trail, PASEO is a roving site-specific performance by choreographer/director Joanna Haigood and music director Bobby Sanabria that celebrates the Hunts Point and Longwood sections of the South Bronx and their astounding contribution to Latin music. With performances by over 80 dancers, musicians, poets, actors, and community members, fire escapes, stoops, and sidewalks will come alive with Latin music and dance, stickball games, and street scenes evoking the neighborhoods’ vibrant street life and cultural vitality during the 1940s-‘60s.
Over 80 dancers, musicians, poets, and actors, including dancers Ramon Ramos Alayo and Franck Muhel, members of Los Pleneros de la 21, and stellar Bronx-based artists, including Arthur Aviles, La Bruja, percussionist and poet Angel Rodriguez, the Puerto Rican folklorico ensemble Danza Fiesta, the Los Monstritospercussion ensemble, Bobby Sanabria’s nine-piece ensemble, Ascension, and guest musicians who came of age in the neighborhood, including the legendary Alegre All Star timbalero Orlando Marin, The Last Mambo King.
A further tour to Fourvière, Lyon, France for a specific visit of l'Antiquaille on October 20, 2022. I did also a new Kodak Tri-X film with my Zorki-4K camera and its Jupiter-8 1:2 f=50 mm normal lens.
The Zorki was loaded with the Kodak Tri-X (TX) exposed for 400 ISO using a Minolta Autometer III lightmeter fitted with a 10° viewfinder for selective measuring privileging the shadows. After exposure the film was processed at 20°C using Tetenal Ultrafin developer at dilution 1+10 for 9min.

After process the film was digitalized using a Sony A7 body and a Minolta Slide Duplicator with a Minolta Auto Bellows III with a lens Minolta Bellow Macro Rokkor 50mm f/3.5.
After several films, and the range finder adjusted, I found the Zorki-4K very pleasant to use. The camera is clearly very reliable and the film smoothly advanced and rewound. I equipped the lens with a FOCA UV-protection filter (Made in France) and the hood of my Focaflex. All views are presented either framed or full-size.
About the camera :
This camera was manufactured in 1977 by KMZ company ( Красногорский механический завод, Krasnogorskiy Mechanicheskiy Zavod) located in the Moscow region. KMZ also manufactured the ZENIT SLR's among many other productions. Zorki 4K was produced between 1972 to 1978 and the previous Zorki models were inspired by the Leica II since 1949. This model 'Made in USSR" is branded in roman characters, intentionally for exportation. Other Zorki 4K were also branded in Cyrillic as "Зоркий". Zorki 4K was sold basically either with this Jupiter-8 lens 1:2 f=50mm or the Industar lens1:3.5 f=50mm. The Jupiter-8 is a Sonnar Zeiss optical formula and fits to the Zorki body using the screwing M39 Leica mount.
Its was sold to me in August 2022 from Austria with its original ever-ready leather bag, a front lens cap and a small shade hood accessory Minolta D42KA. The shade hood and filter of my Focaflex also fit to the Jupiter lens (Leica standard 42 mm filter)

5. Southern blot analysis of the root-specific gene GOS9 in indica (IR36) and japonica (T309) plants and T309 cell suspensions. Total DNA was extracted from roots and green tissues of 10-d-old plantlets and from cell suspensions. 3 μg DNA was digested with Eco RI (E), Bam HI (B), Hin d III (H), Eco RV (V), Pst I (P), or Sac I (S) (panel A). In panel B, results for 2 cell suspensions (S 2 and S 3 ), T309 leaves (L), and roots (R) are shown. Patterns of independently initiated suspensions were identical (S 3 was a gift from E.C. Cocking, University of Nottingham; S 2 was initiated at Leiden). After electrophoresis, DNA was blotted and hybridized with a 32 P-labeled cDNA clone in pBluescript corresponding to half of the second exon and the entire third exon of the gene. Buongiorno! Ecco la registrazione della prima videoconferenza dei Martedì da Traiano incentrati sulla mostra in corso.
Nella conferenza che ha aperto il nuovo ciclo dei Martedì da Traiano i curatori ci illustrano il proprio lavoro: il perché della mostra, come è stato definito il percorso allestitivo e come sono stati scelti gli oggetti da esporre, fino alle nuove acquisizioni che le ricerche condotte in questa occasione hanno prodotto, senza dimenticare i molteplici aspetti legati alla comunicazione e alla didattica.

Una selezione di circa 100 opere, tra reperti archeologici, progetti grafici, oggetti d’arte e video, alcuni esposti per la prima volta, racconta la storia della perduta Velia e del “suo” elefante. Prorogata al 5 marzo 2023.

A 90 anni dalla scoperta, sono stati restaurati i resti fossili di elefante (Elephas antiquus) trovati alla base della collina Velia. L’intervento ha costituito l’occasione per proporre un insieme di opere, che gettano luce su un settore dell’area archeologica centrale interessato negli anni Trenta del Novecento da distruzioni e trasformazioni urbanistiche profonde.

28 August 2021 - Rabi’e Bada’am from FAO Implementing Partner BCHR speaks on the radio in Mukalla in Hadramout governorate to raise awareness about COVID-19. Radio-based spots and programmes for COVID-19 sensitization complemented site-specific posters, brochure and flier distribution, in-person trainings, and provision of face masks.
The radio component of the awareness raising campaign took two forms. “The first was through broadcasting outreach sessions about COVID-19 protection measures and the impact of this pandemic on people’s living conditions. The second form was through broadcasting a number of short radio spots at different times throughout the day,” said Bada’am. “Thanks to these methods, many people were educated on COVID-19 prevention measures.”

I chose Philosophy instead of Art as my specific option during three years of high school. Therefore, I chose Art as my complementary option the last year. Throughout the year, we were assigned to realize a documentary for the Nyon International Film Festival called « Visions du réel ». There is where I met the friend with whom I did the « Broomsticks & Broken glass » project which will be shown later on. We realized the documentary together, it got released on a small TV channel called “Nyon région télévision” and we received an award for it when we graduated. I chose squats as a subject because I was going through a period of my life where normality bored me and I needed originality. I heard there were 4 squats in my small town, which is much given the population. I was very curious to discover alternative culture and to share through the documentary what is so present yet unseen in everyday life. Before filming, this project required a whole process of entering this world, being integrated and gain trust from squatters in front of the camera. We did not set an idea of what we wanted to show on the camera because we wanted to stay as neutral as possible. We lived the experience and filmed the whole time. Nevertheless, I do not think we succeeded in showing a neutral perspective. We received complaints from squatters because they thought we only showed the negative and debauched side. I agree with them that we do not show their cultural and sustainable projects such as saving supermarkets unsold food, permaculture, questioning society, artistic workshops… But it was difficult to make them collaborate with us and we filmed the reality (like the name of the festival indicates) of what we saw and lived.

The Viennese City Park stretches from the park ring in the first district of Vienna up to the Haymarket in the third district of Vienna and is a of both tourists and local citizens well-visited park in Vienna. Its area is 65,000 m².
History
Yet in the Biedermeier the Water Glacis was a popular entertainment venue before the Karolinenstadttor (city gate). As part of the by the demolition of the city wall happened remodeling in the Ringstrasse, the project of a public park has been promoted on that site by the then Mayor of Vienna, Andreas Zelinka. This park was designed in the style of English gardens by the landscape painter Josef Selleny, the plannings were carried out by the city gardener Rudolf Siebeck. On 21th August 1862 the city park was opened as the first public park in Vienna.

On the right bank of the river Wien (Wienfluss) was 1863 the so-called children's park, today mainly characterized by paved playgrounds and sports facilities, which over the Karoline bridge (Karolinenbrücke) (since 1918 Stadtparkbrücke), built in 1857, with the on the left bank situated town park is connected.
In the years 1903-1907 was in the parking area after the regulation a by Friedrich Ohmann and Josef Hackhofer planned Vienna river engineering structure with the river gate, pavilions and river banks built, which is one of the sights in the park.
In earlier times visitors of the park for the stay in placed chairs had to pay fees that were collected by the chair women (the so-called Sesselweiber).

Kursalon
The Kursalon
The water Glacis was a spa pavilion in which healing waters for drinking cures were served. To that affect, in the years 1865 to 1867 for the city park also the Kursalon was built according to plans of Johann Garben. This historicist imposing home in the style of the Italian Renaissanceg is located at the John street (Johannesgasse) and has a large terrace in the park:
After the opening on 8th May 1867 were originally forbidden pleasures. As this concept was not adopted, yet on 15th October in 1868 was taking place the first concert of Johann Strauss (son) whereupon became the Kursalon a popular dance and concert venue in particular at the time of the Strauss brothers. Today, the Kursalon after a renovation phase is again venue for balls, concerts, clubbings and conferences and houses a café-restaurant.

Monuments
With the gilded bronze statue of Johann Strauss (son) stands in the city park one of the best known and most frequently photographed monuments in Vienna. It was on 26th June 1921 unveiled and is framed of a marble relief by Edmund Hellmer. The gilding was removed in 1935 and in 1991 applied again. Other monuments there are, for example, of Franz Schubert, Franz Lehar and Robert Stolz and Hans Makart, the City Park is in monuments and sculptures the richest park in Vienna.
The dairy (Meierei)
The former milk bar was built as part of the Wienflußverbauung (Vienna river engineering structure) according to plans by Friedrich Ohmann and Josef Hackhofer from 1901 until 1903. After suffering heavy damages during the Second World War the building was extended in the reconstruction. Today is in the dairy after another annex a restaurant.
Planting
The planting of the city park is characterized by a great diversity of species and is, as possible, focused on a year-round flowering. Through an avenue to the ring road noise and exhaust gases are filtered. Some trees are protected, such as a ginkgo, a crown of thorns (Honeylocust, Christusdorn), cottonwood tree and Caucasian wingnut.

Your Colour Perception is Liz West’s largest site-specific installation to date, incorporating all 5000 square feet of Castlefield Gallery’s New Art Spaces Federation House fourth floor in Manchester. West will react to the architectural space using colour and light to create vast immersive installation art. This presentation of new work was open for the weekend 31st January and 1st February between, intentionally utilising the darkness outside to raise the strength of the illumination and colouration in the work. Using the enormous space to install a light work in the darkest Winter months will allow the colour to bleed with more saturation than if displayed any other time of the year.

A further tour to Fourvière, Lyon, France for a specific visit of l'Antiquaille on October 20, 2022. I did also a new Kodak Tri-X film with my Zorki-4K camera and its Jupiter-8 1:2 f=50 mm normal lens.
The Zorki was loaded with the Kodak Tri-X (TX) exposed for 400 ISO using a Minolta Autometer III lightmeter fitted with a 10° viewfinder for selective measuring privileging the shadows. After exposure the film was processed at 20°C using Tetenal Ultrafin developer at dilution 1+10 for 9min.

After process the film was digitalized using a Sony A7 body and a Minolta Slide Duplicator with a Minolta Auto Bellows III with a lens Minolta Bellow Macro Rokkor 50mm f/3.5.
After several films, and the range finder adjusted, I found the Zorki-4K very pleasant to use. The camera is clearly very reliable and the film smoothly advanced and rewound. I equipped the lens with a FOCA UV-protection filter (Made in France) and the hood of my Focaflex. All views are presented either framed or full-size.
About the camera :
This camera was manufactured in 1977 by KMZ company ( Красногорский механический завод, Krasnogorskiy Mechanicheskiy Zavod) located in the Moscow region. KMZ also manufactured the ZENIT SLR's among many other productions. Zorki 4K was produced between 1972 to 1978 and the previous Zorki models were inspired by the Leica II since 1949. This model 'Made in USSR" is branded in roman characters, intentionally for exportation. Other Zorki 4K were also branded in Cyrillic as "Зоркий". Zorki 4K was sold basically either with this Jupiter-8 lens 1:2 f=50mm or the Industar lens1:3.5 f=50mm. The Jupiter-8 is a Sonnar Zeiss optical formula and fits to the Zorki body using the screwing M39 Leica mount.
Its was sold to me in August 2022 from Austria with its original ever-ready leather bag, a front lens cap and a small shade hood accessory Minolta D42KA. The shade hood and filter of my Focaflex also fit to the Jupiter lens (Leica standard 42 mm filter)

A Galeria Leme apresenta o segundo site-specific comissionado para o projeto SITU, curado por Bruno de Almeida, dando continuidade a uma pesquisa mais ampla sobre formas de pensar e discutir a produção do espaço (urbano) através de um diálogo entre arte, arquitetura e cidade.
O projeto de Daniel de Paula reúne inúmeros testemunhos de rocha resultantes de sondagens geotécnicas; processos de perfuração para a exploração e reconhecimento do subsolo, utilizado na engenharia civil para a obtenção de dados geológicos necessários ao dimensionamento e definição do tipo de fundações que servirão de base para a construção.
Estes testemunhos são compostos por camadas rochosas sedimentadas ao longo de milénios, formando uma espécie de linha de tempo que se estende desde a atualidade até a períodos anteriores à história da humanidade. Para a instalação o artista os organiza cronologicamente segundo a sua idade geológica dispondo-os por esta ordem no chão do pátio exterior da galeria.
As amostras coletadas são provenientes de sondagens executadas para obras públicas de mobilidade urbana no Estado de São Paulo, como por exemplo, obras do Metrô e do Rodoanel. Estes grandes eixos de deslocamento são verdadeiros vetores de estruturação urbana, indutores de uma expansão territorial exponencial e fatores determinantes para a formação do preço da terra e dos arranjos dos usos do solo nas cidades.
Ao tornar o espaço externo da galeria num ponto de reunião destas amostras de rocha provenientes de vários pontos da região metropolitana de São Paulo, o artista contrapõe o tempo geológico de formação gradual da crosta terrestre, ao tempo de construção e expansão das cidades. Fazendo conviver duas percepções divergentes de solo, uma pautada pelo seu valor simbólico e outra instituída por um valor de troca e negociação.

Galeria Leme presents the second site-specific commissioned for SITU, curated by Bruno de Almeida, giving continuity to a broader research on ways of thinking and discussing the production of (urban) space through a dialogue between art, architecture and city.
Daniel de Paula’s project brings together numerous rock core samples resulting from geotechnical surveys, which are perforation processes for the exploration and recognition of the subsoil, used in civil engineering to get the necessary geological information required for dimensioning and defining the type of foundations which will be the basis for a construction.
These core samples are composed by layers of rock that were sedimented over millennia, forming a sort of time-line that ranges from the present day to periods prior to human history. For the installation the artist organizes them chronologically according to their geological age, arranging them in this order on the outdoor patio of the gallery.
The artist collects samples from drillings carried out for public works of urban mobility on the State of São Paulo, such as the Subway and the Rodoanel (Greater São Paulo's Beltway), among others. These major axes of displacement are true vectors of urban structuring, inducers of an exponential territorial expansion and determining factors for the formation of land prices and the arrangements of land use in cities.
By turning the external space of the gallery into a meeting point of these rocky core samples, gathered from various parts of São Paulo’s metropolitan region, the artist contrasts the geological time of the gradual formation of the earth's crust, to the time of construction and expansion of cities. Conjoining two divergent perceptions of soil, one guided by its symbolic value and another instituted by the negotiation and exchange value.

A further tour to Fourvière, Lyon, France for a specific visit of l'Antiquaille on October 20, 2022. I did also a new Kodak Tri-X film with my Zorki-4K camera and its Jupiter-8 1:2 f=50 mm normal lens.
The Zorki was loaded with the Kodak Tri-X (TX) exposed for 400 ISO using a Minolta Autometer III lightmeter fitted with a 10° viewfinder for selective measuring privileging the shadows. After exposure the film was processed at 20°C using Tetenal Ultrafin developer at dilution 1+10 for 9min.

After process the film was digitalized using a Sony A7 body and a Minolta Slide Duplicator with a Minolta Auto Bellows III with a lens Minolta Bellow Macro Rokkor 50mm f/3.5.
After several films, and the range finder adjusted, I found the Zorki-4K very pleasant to use. The camera is clearly very reliable and the film smoothly advanced and rewound. I equipped the lens with a FOCA UV-protection filter (Made in France) and the hood of my Focaflex. All views are presented either framed or full-size.
About the camera :
This camera was manufactured in 1977 by KMZ company ( Красногорский механический завод, Krasnogorskiy Mechanicheskiy Zavod) located in the Moscow region. KMZ also manufactured the ZENIT SLR's among many other productions. Zorki 4K was produced between 1972 to 1978 and the previous Zorki models were inspired by the Leica II since 1949. This model 'Made in USSR" is branded in roman characters, intentionally for exportation. Other Zorki 4K were also branded in Cyrillic as "Зоркий". Zorki 4K was sold basically either with this Jupiter-8 lens 1:2 f=50mm or the Industar lens1:3.5 f=50mm. The Jupiter-8 is a Sonnar Zeiss optical formula and fits to the Zorki body using the screwing M39 Leica mount.
Its was sold to me in August 2022 from Austria with its original ever-ready leather bag, a front lens cap and a small shade hood accessory Minolta D42KA. The shade hood and filter of my Focaflex also fit to the Jupiter lens (Leica standard 42 mm filter)

This project consist an intervention in a specific space located in Cali- Colombia on the highway Simón Bolívar, an avenue that was part of big gentrification urban project because it divided the city into two parts aside "the poor people" and the other side the "non-poor people".
This avenue begins in the industrial area of the city and ends in an rich neighborhood across several popular sectors produce largely the big neighborhood called "Aguablanca". Thus the space where the project was located was among the industrial area and "Aguablanca", therefore everyday thousands of people use this route to flee their homes to work and back.
Directly in front of this place is a big shopping center at the time of its construction was the bigest shopping center in Latin America, which is a benchmark for entertainment and consumption of the people living on this route. And it is important to note that in Cali a very interesting phenomenon is that inside the malls celebrate Mass or Christian ritual of the Eucharist, then symbolically this practice creates a relationship between religion and the urban projects that make the city turn around consumption. For these reasons I decided to install two hundred fifty green apples on a dry tree that was at the bus stop in front of the shopping center and side of the avenue. Thus, after installed apples all passersby could and started down the apples that were in this tree. An approach that metaphorically makes a kind gesture to the passer and also is a mythological reconstruction reveals a cultural situation as it is linked to religion consumption.
