Space Panic
Size : 2,5m x 1,80
By : sweetsha - N3rik68 - Kloou.
Display "Space Panic" Sky View
Display made for the french convention "Brick à Dole" 2017. The V2 with a new part "Starship Troopers" was presented to the french convention "Let\'s Go" 2018 in Schiltigheim.
This MOC is a collaborative diorama created with my friend Sweetsha & N3rik.
On this diorama we find the new theme Space Lego but also the Classic Space Lego.
It is intentionally ultra colored, it gives a side very fun :)
There are also many references to the great films of SF, pop culture and it\'s full of humor.
Obviously nothing will happen as planned, Space is going to shit. ^^

This month's Space Exploration for Bright Metallic!
From the Japanese series "Space Battleship Yamato," which saw a limited run in the USA as "Starblazers."
The 160mm long miniature is from Megahouse, and made in China. Where else would a heroic Japanese battleship be made?
Tech: focus stacked image made from seven images taken with a tripod-mounted Canon EOS 60D. f/16, and the focus steps were made manually. Merged in PhotoAcute Studio.
Strobist: Yongnuo YN-560 III with a Rogue Grid on camera left; Yongnuo YN-560 camera right with a Rogue beam bender, bent into a snoot, with a blue gel. All fired with Yongnuo RF-603 C3 radio triggers.
A detail of the piece I did for a show at Flock Shop. In the future I don't need flying cars. I want to be able to roast smores on the sun.
Having some fun with visuals more than the build itself. I thought the semi-new squirrel was pretty cute so I put it in a space helmet and also tried out some line art shading in blender.

It's a funny thing, learning about space- and the unimaginable vastness of it. And I find there to be two main schools of thought- "I'm insignificant in this giant universe," and "in this giant universe, I get to exist." Now, I'm not an expert on philosophy, nor am I going to tell you what to think.
I just want to pass along the message that this place we get to live in, its a big place. Maybe you should think about that every once in a while (:
(This is a very old poster in the Astronomy building at my school, and I've always thought that it's beautiful. I'm not actually sure if it's a poster anymore. It may have been painted on- its part of the wall now. I hope they don't get rid of it in the near future.)
Here's another try at Space. I'll leave it intact for a few more days in case I decide to improve it (there is enough room for that).
Just another Classic Space build, rendered to put in my new modernized retro Box Cover design.
To satisfy the Classic Space Heart. :)

Despite knowing that tickets to see the Space Shuttle Endeavour were recommended, we chose to not purchase them. We figured somehow that demand to go see it wouldn't be too high, even though it was a Friday. Once we got to the California Science Center, we read signs everywhere stating that tickets to see the shuttle were sold out. We decided to go in anyway. Once there, I approached one of the ushers and asked if we would be able to see the shuttle somehow that day. The usher stated that it was so packed, only ticket holders would be able to go in. We were extremely sad that we wouldn't get to see this great ship we had come to see. A few seconds later, a lady who worked for the science center approached us asking how many of us there were. It was our lucky day!

Mosaic art installed at ESA’s spacecraft operations centre ESOC in Darmstadt, Germany, next to a model of an Ariane launcher. French artist Invader is installing his iconic art at ESA establishments all over Europe and even on the International Space Station.
The European Space Operations Centre ensures the smooth working of spacecraft in orbit. Its control rooms, linked to ground stations all over the world, track and control satellites, and carry out payload operations and routine systems monitoring.
After ESA astronaut Samantha Cristoforetti found a space invader called ‘Space2’ in the Columbus space laboratory, the space-themed art has appeared at the European Astronaut Centre in Cologne, Germany and at ESA’s Redu Centre in Belgium, where satellites are controlled and tested as part of ESA’s ground station network.
Mission control believes Invader will organise more invasions and activate aliens at other ESA establishments throughout the year. Follow their progress on Twitter via #space2iss and #SpaceInvader.
