On the northwest corner of the Standard Club of Chicago, near the corner of N. Dearborn and W. Jackson streets.
The third clubhouse, designed by Alfred Kahn, was completed at 320 S. Plymouth Ct. in 1926. The club was housed in a Louis Sullivan-designed building at S. Michigan Ave. and E. 24th St. from 1889 to 1926. The Standard Club was founded in the 1860s by German Jewish men who were barred admission to the Chicago Club. It eventually allowed membership for Eastern European Jews and women. The club closed the clubhouse on May 1, 2020, and listed it for sale. The Standard Club remains in existence – the building was sold in March 2022 - and is exploring several alternatives for survival.

Chicago's amazing skyline as seen from Adler Planetarium area. LE shot minutes before the fireworks show.
Night falls over the new developments just south of Grant Park. A dusting of snow atop the townhouses reflects the last blue hues of dusk as the city lights flicker on.

Get a fresh take on new homes, apartments, neighborhoods and the way life’s lived in Chicago at YoChicago.
Where to stay? I think Hotels are mad expensive. No matter what city. Large or Small. They can get pricey. I’ve attended BCEU twice and two USA Cons. Over All I prefer AirBnb. They provide Choice locations and an ability to live like a local. Bonus....more money can be spent on the Dolly.
I recommend these Chicago Neighborhoods, starting more North of the EventLocation and then heading more South:
1) WrigleyVille
2) BoysTown
3) Lakeview
4) Lincoln Park
5) RiverNorth
6) RiverWest
7) PrintersRow
8) SouthLoop
Just make sure you're near a Red, Brown, or BlueLine CTA train stop and this City will be your Oyster.

A stretch of the East Bank of the South Branch, between Ping Tom Park and the South Loop. This used to be railroad property and 19th century industrial plants, now it is Chicago's new frontier. We don't know yet what we can expect to see here in the next ten or twenty years, but this is Chicago, and our beloved politicians and their cronies are undoubtedly busy buying up parcels of land along this stretch of the river...
