A little bokeh and some light. A artsy departure from the standard flower images but fun to take and a challenge to capture. The images taken with the lens physically detached and focused with the eye piece. Something of a throw back to manual photography in a digital age.
One of the first tests I made with my Helios 44-2. I have to say that I was a little bit bored XD. But I like the result. Better than expected :D
MRE's for lunch. Pazely wasn't a big fan of the chili & macaroni. She said, "I feel sorry for the soldiers. I bet they have the poops all the time." #mre #mealreadytoeat #lunch #somethingdifferent #trynewthings #perspective

These are my ‘Upgraded’ splints, moulded to my hands for a comfortable fit. My hands are still very poorly, but at least the new hardware allows me more movement than the old ones
Bit of PP in this one with the cracking effect, just to make it a bit more interesting and show how I’m feeling.
Another addition to my "Something Different" series. Water drops, plants and macro stuff. Not my typical branch of photography. Not my typical post-processing either. Low contrast, strange tones and light-rays. Processed the h*** out of these.

I have been walking past this timber shed for 18 months and only today, with the help of overnight rain, has it revealed its true secrets to me. The ageing plywood is breaking down, and in the process is seemingly revealing the nature of the forest, and life itself.

Use red/blue glasses for best effect.
Anaglyph 3D is the name given to the stereoscopic 3D effect achieved by means of encoding each eye's image using filters of different (usually chromatically opposite) colors, typically red and cyan. Anaglyph 3D images contain two differently filtered colored images, one for each eye. When viewed through the "color-coded" "anaglyph glasses", each of the two images reaches one eye, revealing an integrated stereoscopic image.
Images captured with dual canon EOS-M3 Cameras and combined in software.

It amazes me the amount of abandoned farm equipment laying around in field corners throughout Lincolnshire.
150 years ago the advent of such machines caused mass riots by farm labourers in fear for their jobs, but now alas these machines become outdated so quickly that when they break down the are just left to rot and block gateways. Its an alarming concept that the evolution of the human race means that the things we consider essential are useless in a matter of years.
It really is no surprise that the planet is in the state it is when things are discarded long before they have worn out, simply because there is a better, newer, shinier option available.
This is another attempt at painting with light, I would have much preferred a longer exposure to light more of the surrounding area, but alas when I was setting up in the dark I stood on my remote release. @#&%$$ !!!!!
Part of what really got me moving on a new 365 Days project this year was a great app from Cesar Kuriyama called "1 Second Everyday." Taking a one-second video clip every day that compiles into the story of your life will definitely make you take a second look at how you're spending your life.
So it occurred to me that in addition to recording a one second video every day, and making a self-portrait every day, it might be good to ensure i'm doing something different every day. Today, i grabbed lunch at a place i'd never been. Tomorrow, who knows. Just so long as it breaks the routine.
Great or small. Something different. Every day.
Took the camera out to the yard where I have multiple bird feeding areas set up. Was hoping to see something different. I was not disappointed. This little female cardinal is sporting a unique white head. She certainly stands out among the others! She seems to know that and keeps closer to the foliage than the others. She really enjoys playing in the spray when I turn on the water sprinkler.

Not one of my favorite things to try and take photos of, but I thought this turned out ok. The morning light was good.
