As 113 was on approach, and due in part to my laziness and the fact that an AC44CWM was leading, I decided to not cross the tracks and shoot from the "shady side." CP 113 passes Yonge St. with CP 8149 and a Gevo, and a long intermodal train.

I just learned something new, from a fellow flickrita who was kind enough to walk me through things I've not tried before! She also sent me this nifty frame :) Thank you, Amanda!

I see a mistake or two... next one will be better, I promise ;)

time for something new is begun

Always be ready for an adventure. Typically W9 and I don't share our space with many people. A nice mix of bird watchers and twitchers packed the Marsh yesterday. Scope/camera lady tipped us off to the location of the rare Eurasian Wigeon. Thank you.

It wasn't a very cooperative duck and after 200+ photos we moved along. The newly constructed bridge on the Marsh is finally open to foot traffic. It was a no-brainer to check it out. Suddenly Scope/camera lady charges out from the brush waving her arms overhead and yelling for us to stay away. A moment later she was walking over to us and thanking us for being so understanding. She explained that she was on a deadline to find 250 birds.

W9 and I are watchers. Finding a new bird can be reason to celebrate. But it really is the adventure of the journey ... learning something new and being able to recall and connect the information we've stuffed into our heads. Giving the game our best effort and still getting it wrong sometimes. Humbling. Thrilling.

I think this is a female Downy Woodpecker. (Now confirmed by Michelle and Buckeye, thank you both!). I've taken dozens of shots of Acorn Woodpeckers, but this would be the first Downy.

always something new in every sunset. *happiness* *prayers* *blessings*

When I reached the last line of dunes on this windy afternoon I observed something new. About a half dozen crows or ravens were frolicking in the updrafts over the dunes.

Superb fliers, the crows could easily have flapped their way up and into the winds. But what fun would that be?

Instead, as seen here, the crows were waiting for just the right gust to lift them into the air and sweep them away. They were patient. They had to be, since not just any gust would do.

What I wasn't able to capture was the sight of the crows, now airborne, skimming over the dunes like cruise missiles on their way to a target.

Now, there may be some dry, sociobiological explanation for this afternoon of aerobatics, but I prefer to think that crows just want to have fun!

...Sylvie and Mini-Sylvie or -Sylvio?

That's one thing I like about visiting nurseries each spring. There is always something new, quite literally, under the sun. This is a hydrangea!

Apparently it’s a StreetDeck 35102OM Demonstrator of which I know nothing, I can only assume by the name it’s the double deck version of the Streetlite. This is another demonstrator now in the First Manchester fleet allocated to Oldham and both can be found on the long 83 route, however unlike 36300 this one is in full First livery. Captured today leaving the Sholver terminus the bus has just entered revenue service this being its first or possibly second day in service.

15th January 2015.

Going back over some earlier material...nothing new at the moment. Way, Way Back to 2009....with my original 5D. Over the years Doves have struck my picture window, somehow leaving detailed impressions. I had a total of 8 window strikes creating imprints through 2012. Then they stopped...but my windows got pretty dirty...so I guess that's a good thing. Most of these birds survived...though I did find a couple of casualties on the ground

This is Dove No 5.

NOTE: THIS IS THE FIRST TIME THIS PHOTO HAS EVER BEEN POSTED.

My heartfelt thanks to those who have taken the time to view and/or fave/comment this photo. This Bird Imprint Photo and others are actually what caused me to join Flickr in the first place...so it means a lot...at least to me. Thank You! *************************************************************************

JAXson was instantly interested in the new tunnel toy. Meanwhile, Obby walked past it without even a wink. But JAXson finally got the nerve to run through it...jumping out of it. It was very fun to watch him.

Photography pushes me to always try something new, and this week I tried the double exposure. It's a different effect, not please everyone but I enjoyed it.

The concept is that you should always try something new, always search for new roads.

I hope to always do so, even in the future to come.

I realize that we are almost at the end of this year, and this project has given me a lot.

Decadence is Bliss Series ... another preview for you.

It has been a while ever since I am active here (even forgot how to upload) and recently I have updated my head after long years being Catwa, since I am so picky with heads and most of them doesn't feel like me but luckily I finally found one when it comes to Lelutka finally I can say I am upgraded LMFAO!

I lived for a few years in Sangenjaya, in Tokyo, and went daily past this house on my way to the underground. I could never really come to terms with the contrast that stood there right before my eyes.

On a sunny day, the "futon" (bed items) out hanging out on the "sao" (stick to hang clothes) to dry.

ah! finally uploading something and it's something new for me: BOATS! :D

back in august I saw a documentary on these and other similar vessels of other nation. it was also the period of Dan's amazing Motor torpedo boat and those 2 combined made me start on this.

so after about a full week of designing I ordered the parts and in 4 full days I build it. sadly it kinda felt off and I decided to measure it and compare how long it should be. long story short I might have made a calculation error. so I couldn't let that slip. so another week of redesigning widening it a tad and lengthening it with around 20 studs it finally had the right dimensions. and the build was completed around September 9th. you might wonder 'why didn't you upload it?', well I contacted Dan of Brickmania concerning figures for this beauty and I also contacted United bricks for the printed tiles. and as you might have noticed Dan recently produced the Kriegsmarine sailor.

this particular model has been based on this model I found here on Flickr: www.flickr.com/photos/danimantis/4655304039/in/album-7215...

FEATURES:

-All guns can rotate 360° (yes also the front one)

-detailed propeller area

-opening front torpedo doors

- very sturdy design (I can easily hold it with one hand though it weights quite a lot :p )

-consist out of +- 4200 bricks

-right around 90 cm long (116 studs)

ps: if more detailed pictures would be needed let me know!
