I let Rena play with the felt mice which she hadn't seen before and she went into full attack mode - for about 10 seconds - paws clawing, back paw ready to rip. And then she heard something outside and forgot what she was doing.

While taking a weekend ride around Vermont, this scene caught my eye. Something old next to something new.
In a world where the Speedmaster Professional is the predictable choice in the luxury chronograph line up, I set out on a quest to find something different. I consider this to be the classy Speedmaster automatic, minus the name at a similar price point. I narrowed my choices down to this and the Speedmaster 1957. I'm pretty pleased with this piece, loving the clean look.

Plaza de la Revolución
Het ruim bemeten plein Plaza de la Revolución, wat voorheen Plaza Cívica werd genoemd, ligt in het westelijke deel van de stad. Vroeger werd dit plein meerdere malen gebruikt voor de soms uren durende speeches van Fidel Castro. De toeschouwers stonden hierdoor soms uren lang in de bloedhete zon. Plaza de la Revolución is nog altijd een belangrijke plek in Havana. Je treft hier het indrukwekkend José Martí monument. Deze Cubaanse schrijver, dichter en filosoof was voor de Cubanen vooral een revolutionaire strijder en een groot intellect. Hij is dan ook een nationale held in Cuba.

There are a few buildings/locations in London which I feel compelled to photograph despite already having dozens of shots. Lloyds is one such place, if I am in the area I just have to take another shot, in the vain hope that I will capture something new/different/better.

I tried to capture this scene, in close to the same light and weather, some years ago. But I was unable to not give it a new try when I saw this on the seond day of 2021.
We live in a small place between a fjord and two tunnels, it is hard to find something new to capture all the time. And sometime can the same motif become very different pictures depending on season, light, colours and weather, to mention a few.
I don't think this became that new, it is more that I thought it was so beautiful when I saw it!

I have not seen this before in the garden, and yes, it is a weed. Although there is some reference to it being used as, or in, food. It also has some toxicity.
