For those who needed an extra lift in the morning a new item was available to add to their breakfast cereal.

... to spent my time relaxing from Advance Wars Dual Strike ;)

I always try to share new tasty things. I'm sure I'll be corrected if wrong*, but this is a Karelian Pie or Karelian Pasty. Either way, it's a super thin rye dough case around rice or potato - in this case rice. Very tasty.

*I was corrected. Thanks Karin!

I HAVE AN UNDERWATER CAMERA!!

I just got it yesterday; it's nothing fancy, and I'm still tryin' to figure out this whole "shooting underwater" thing, but it's really fun. :)

While shooting this, my photos were really hit & miss (mostly miss :P), but I was happy to see that this one turned out rather decently. :)

..something produce, something fruit.

I had an extra frame laying around and I wanted something new in my house, so I made this.

Definitely not my best attempt, but it will do for now.

Submitted for Active Assignment Weekly: Something Old, Something New

WIT: I temporarily relocated a kitchen chair and my laptop into one to the upstairs bedrooms. Old bureau; new chair, old technology (candle-light); new technology (laptop). I stood up above the 'stage' on a stool to try to eliminate some of the mirror's reflections, and to try to make a pretty mundane setup a bit more interesting.

This is a friend of mine that was kind enough to let me play with my new lights and backdrops.

No beads this time, but I'm going into the Wollmeise stash for the first time, with a named skein even. This yarn is every bit as good as people say too, I'm so glad it's summer holiday time and I can't buy any more right now. This is going to be a Haruni.

This photo was taken a during a fireworks display a night after our arrival in Cannes. Little did we know that this night was the beginning of an adventure that was full of wonderful experiences and valuable friendships. The CSB/SJU France program offers many opportunities to meet new people with new cultural perspectives as well as trips to exciting places that can take students out of their comfort zone.

Here's something I haven't tried yet

...this year are violets in the pots and not Geranium.

Since the last time we visited here someone(s) have provided some neat stuff: Binoculars to use when searching for whales or surfers, and a big magnifying glass to check out tiny things close up.

Found at the Boulevard & W 8th St.

A few "annuals" in the front yard island garden this year.

... something new!

4me4you visits Unit London Gallery, which showcased “Transitions” - Jake Wood-Evans.

Unit London Gallery..>Large scale canvases painted in oil conjure up the ghosts of old master paintings by Constable, Landseer, Rubens, Van Dyck, and others, as if seen through a rain-smeared screen, or reflected in a beaten tin mirror. The effect is of something half-recognised and partly erased to create something new.

4me4you...there was something very extraordinary when viewing and capturing the artworks on display, and yet very photogenic.

A layer of dark scented images is seen from a distance also close up. This effect is marvelously captured and yet intriguing how it’s done..”layering”…

More info.

This theme was quite appropriate for the week I've been having. I got to attend and be a part of my little brother's wedding. We spent the week preparing and planning, and then on Friday I watched my brother marry his beautiful new wife.

During the reception I got out my camera, and captured this shot of their first dance between the new husband and wife. I especially love it because I have an almost identical photo from my own wedding and it's one of my favourites.

Congrats Jeff and Bethany, I am so happy to have been a part of your day and I wish you a long and happy marriage <3

It's always a trreat to try something new. In Buenos Aires, we were offered pizza topped with fried eggs.
