This common snapping turtle was just emerging from tall grass some distance from any water. It may have been a female looking for a place to lay eggs.

The idler pulley arm had a lot of play; both the bushing and stud attaching the idler assembly to the mowing deck were replaced. I had to drill the bushing using a progression of drill bit sizes to extract the original.

Nancy and K. have been hunting for a turtle for a pet. Snappers don't make good pets, though.
This turtle's carapace was covered in fresh, wet mud, making us think he had emerged from an early attempt at hibernation to enjoy the marvelous, warm, sunny day.

Red Snapper is back on stage. Decent gig. But a bit boring too.
Taken during State X New Forms. A festival "that wants to X-plore and X-plain". This years edition took place in Het Paard and De Koorenbeurs in Den Haag. I wrote a report for DJ Broadcast.
A couple of young snappers that I met at Pioneer Square. The one on the left was sportin' a Minolta SRT 101, while her buddy was shooting with an AE-1. They were admiring my F-100 with Tammy SP 24-135 glass. I assured them that their rigs are quite capable of delivering professional results. I was pleased that they seemed quite satisfied and content with the older models.
