Red snapper fish are one of the most popular sport fish in the Gulf of Mexico. A recent systematic review of over 1,250 scientific studies confirmed that reef habitat, quality and quantity, are the most important factor influencing red snapper populations. Credit: Brad Erisman, UTMSI.
A Common Snapping Turtle, having just emerged from hibernation, found its way to a local restaurant. The turtle caused a commotion and plenty of 'turtle soup' comments, before being taken to a nearby pond.
