Photographers shooting People's Climate March London 2014 from Waterloo Bridge

This shot is a little over-exposed, but I posted it because I wanted to show the scent glands on the side of the shell. This is a baby snapper (as you can tell by the next shot). The scent glands are used as a defence mechanism....man did this little guy stink!

We found this Common Snapper sunning itself at the MDC nature center in Springfield MO.

Cyclone Ului swell Friday 19th March at Snapper Rocks.

Juvenile snapper (Pagrus auratus) still with it's banding patterns, on a night dive at Goat island, Leigh, New Zealand.

The unofficial Ryerss mascot, Snapper is a stuffed baby alligator that served as a calling card tray holder. Placed by the main door, a calling card tray allowed the Victorian visitor to announce himself.

This common snapping turtle was just emerging from tall grass some distance from any water. It may have been a female looking for a place to lay eggs.
