I met up with my best friend, Iri A.K.A xpurple.hazex yesterday:D We bought some ice cream mochi to snack on, spent some time talking, and laughed throughout the day. I think this has to become some kind of tradition for us, haha, because I liked every moment of it. On the other hand, I decided to buy Japanese cookies I saw because they were colored beautifully. They had interesting shapes and flavors. There were shrimp shapes which, of course, had a shrimp flavor to them, green ones for nori flavoring, and others that i wasn't sure of, haha. Overall, they were delicious. So, my advice to you is, If you see some Japanese snacks I recommend you buy them. You won't regret it:D. *** sorry for the bad quality, I hope it stays temporary. My camera is still not working.***

The Sandpiper Snack Bar was located on A1A across the street from Marineland Of Florida. This picture was taken in 1974 but the snack bar existed as recently as 1989. It is gone now and there is a smaller snack bar within the Marineland complex.

Anyone who knows me, knows that I love to snack. They also know my vice is chips (and cuttlefish/jerky).
Anyone who has traveled with me know that I pack efficient, carrying only a carry-on bag, but that I would check in a huge bag with local snacks (like this). Often two large bags.
My latest and albeit brief trip to Hong Kong meant the same. A quick blitz to gather what you see above.
Thing is, my luggage - as I've noticed the last few check ins - arrived late. This time held back. Each time it had been searched by TSA.
I guess the agents really don't believe me when they ask about purchases and all I really buy is snacks (especially chips). They've even opened a couple boxes and bags to see if that were the case. I'm pretty sure they've been consistently disappointed that I haven't harbored anything illegal. That is really is this insane love for chips.
Also, notice all the Calbee from Japan!!!! !!!!
The new shrimp head chips and beloved Marks & Spencer Prawn Cocktail. Bonus with XO sauce from VEA and every single Big Roll flavour I could find.
There are some good times ahead. :)
We took our kiddos to probably the last double kids feature before school starts. Planes and then Despicable Me 2 - it turned out to be a cool evening dipping into the upper 50s but we were prepared with blankets and snacks such. The kids had fun playing with other kids that were here for the evening. Good fun was had!
Bagged salami slices as snacks, from Germany. And this is before the low-carb craze hit Europe, even.
