A male Carnaby's Cockatoo enjoying his pine cone snack at ECU. His beak looks like there is something wrong with it but I think it is just sticky from the pine resin. We generally give Sock a puzzle toy every other day or so. He loves these toys because they're filled with treats and goodies so he really looks forward to them.
The thing is though, he's a one trick pony and his only way of solving the puzzle is to pick the toy up and then drop it.
It's usually fairly effective, but every once in a while a treat goes off trajectory and he loses it.
Well, last night he must have lost one of his snacks under the couch because he was fixated on trying to get under it (spoiler alert - he's too big). Scott took a look with the flashlight and couldn't see anything.
Sock disagreed.
So tonight, as the obsession continued, Scott decided to investigate and lifted the couch.
Sock was right and happily retrieved his much anticipated snack.

We haven't seen any babies yet but momma has been out and about and looks like she's enjoying my willow tree at the moment. I'm sure within a few days she will bring them around to show us.

Another family walk, another snack time to take a few quick shots.
A pair of goldfinches showed up at the feeder and stayed long enough for me to grab my camera, change lenses and adjust my settings.
Must have been some good eating to keep them there so long. Worked out for me though.

(45/365) I do love ordinary Cheddars but these Red Leicester ones are so much more cheesy & tasty.
37/100x my 100 photos will all be taken using the Hipstamatic App. I know it's a bit cheaty using an App but I still take the photo. I gave up on my 365 the past 2 years so anything that helps me get there is good.

After a long after afternoon of hiking around in the woods geocaching....my two decided that this fence made a great seat to enjoy a snack!
