Lay on the beach, relax and enjoy the sunset
An exquisite little island located at southwest of Malaysia, Tioman Island.
It takes about two hours to reach this island from Mersing, Malaysia by speedboat.
Numbers of resorts surrounding the island are offering their best cottage for sunrise or sunsets view facing South China Sea.
Not forget to mention that many divers and snorkels come to this island.
The aquatic sea is the perfect place to explore the underwater world.
Surprisingly, it has beautiful sky-scape too!
Hundreds of stars aligned attractively give us a great atmosphere gazing at it.
Overall Tioman Island is a wonderful place for short getaway.
It offers nice beach with beautiful sunset, perfect weather, perfect place for snorkelling, diving and star gazing. The local seafood is pleasantly delicious as well.
Enjoy the pictures!

ZE495/VA, Grob Viking T1 (CN 33879-K-117) of 661 Volunteer Gliding Squadron, Royal Air Force is winch launched from runway 23 at RAF Kirknewton against a dramatic sky-scape; aided a little by a polariser filter.
A spooky sky-scape in my hometown. The mountains at the horizon have melted with the sky itself. This scene is not very frequent, but I remember having seen it at least half a dozen times since when I was born.
But this was the first time with a reflex camera in one hand.:)
In the other hand, of course, I was holding an umbrella !
Burawa Ngurra (Sky Country) 2018 by Leanne Tobin, polymer acrylic on canvas. 190 x 58 cm.
The Milky Way is depicted here as a river reflecting the life on earth. The camps are depicted as concentric circles. Kangaroo, emu, goanna, eel, eagle hawk, long-necked turtle are shown in the sky scape. On country, the stars assisted the people in knowing when the season was to hunt these important food resources.

Commentary.
Glen Shiel.
Loch Duich.
West-coast sea-loch.
Shiel Bridge village.
Sweeping, shapely, undulating
summit-ridge of the
“Five Sisters of Kintail.”
Coniferous forest.
Sun-dappled mountain slopes
in green and tan.
Greyish-blue cloud shadows
scud across an ever-changing
sky-scape, as in a time-lapse video.
A dynamic, colourful, vibrant scene that transforms
season by season,
but always impresses.
Just couldn’t resist these beautiful clouds and the amazing light and reflections in the wet sand - the remanants of the outgoing tide. The tide goes out for a good bit at Sandymount strand and it becomes a playground for walkers, runners dogs and birds.

I decided to brave the bitterly cold minus 17 degrees Celsius temperatures and shoot the morning light over the country road that runs by our house. Apart from aggravating the arthritis in my fingers it was well worth the effort and just the ticket to create a hearty appetite for the good hot breakfast that followed.
Please view on black.

The Singapore trip continues.. Yes this is a hand held HDR-LSD'd, ...and processed to provide a more artistic view of standard landmarks.. I use a combination of software and enhanced certain features of the capture such as noise to define the sky scape I wanted for this one.. All I can say is that there wont be many like these depicting Singsing this way.. lol.. My day series I hope will complement well my night one in that they are intended to be unique.. at least along the way I perceive things.. there ;-)
Lucky Thursday morning near St-Andrew's Cathedral .. while I was waiting to leave for the airport.. and there is more to follow..:-) This morning one continues my Singapore adventure.. full of surprises so bear with me.. and I hope you like it..:-) Have a great weekend..

"I can't shift the moon but I can move my legs......" - Victor Cheah
When the clock on the tower above Victoria Concert Hall (Singapore) struck half past nine (see photo's clock timing though slightly after), HURRAY.... the total lunar eclipse occurred just directly above it. I couldn't have asked for a better foreground. A timely view indeed. Definitely a meaningful capture to record this phenomena.
This is a little bit of a departure from most of my usual stuff but I do like to play around with Elements to increase my knowledge of editing skills. This is a composite of two of my earlier images. I wanted to create an etherial feeling to the gull flying high. With a message open to your personal interpretations.
Happy Slider Sunday
Looking down Porepunkah Airfield - where I've spent more than a few hours honing my ground handling skills, watched over by an amphitheatre of foothills, and the ever-looming Mount Buffalo.
This is a shot from over 8 years ago, when I was still on my first week of learning to paraglide. The airstrip at Porepunkah is a great open space for practising ground-handling, an essential skill for launching, but also landing and handling the wing in the air.
On this day it was made all the better with the big sky-scape to look up to.
Storm is coming! Let's move to another island ;p

R is for Riley who believed he could fly.
I simply don't have enough space in my place to shoot this sort of jump. So I went to my favorite white wall by the Science Center. Except it was cold. And wet. On the plus side, I've stopped caring that people watch and wonder. I know it may look crazy, but the result is worth it (most of the time).
