This beautiful rendering is a joint effort. The photo is taken by me, yes and it can be found in my set titled My Cat-Queen of the Household. The wings and some of the background color were done by Ann Adamus. You may recognize my sky scape I presented a few postings back. It was explored. Ann added to it. AND she made the wings.
A dear blog friend commisioned Ann to make this beautiful photo to show her getting her wings. I was deeply touched, almost overcome. I don't have Photoshop and even if I did I would have no skills at it. :-)
I have adopted or will do so on Tuesday early a nother furbaby, a girl, black and white whose name I am not sure of yet. <3. She will be presented here very soon and have her own set...and I hope efyrrybuddy likes her.

Everglades sunset from last month that was one of the
best sunsets of the year IMHO, with incredibly changing
light and colors from minute to minute. I really enjoyed it

It was another very hot and humid day here, I got brave and ventured out of the house about 7:30 to catch the sunset.

It was another very hot and humid day here, I got brave and ventured out of the house about 7:30 to catch the sunset.
Another one from a few years ago of a walk on the seemingly flat plateau of Edge Hill, but which is actually cut into by gutter-like valleys that wind down to the River Cherwell and Banbury.
From a series taken mainly for sky-scapes for use in Photoshop's 'Sky Replacement' function. This one's been particularly useful and pops up in quite a few of my images. The heavy cloud and a little bit of blue enlivening the reality of a grey, leaden featureless sky.
Last night's thunderstorm brewing on sunset above Redcliffe and Moreton Bay.

We live at the end of the rainbow, LOL.

A rainbow is a meteorological phenomenon that is caused by reflection, refraction and dispersion of light in water droplets resulting in a spectrum of light appearing in the sky.
It takes the form of a multicoloured circular arc.
Rainbows caused by sunlight always appear in the section of sky directly opposite the Sun.

Last Summer, looking up in the distant high sky, I let my brain gallop away.
I started seeing whole landscape in the air, small dark little islands, a shoreline, rippling water... a fading evening.

Panorama view from North Road / Rt-160 in Parsonsfield, we had some pretty wild looking clouds all day.
Coyotes and night hawks were my companions as the focus went from catching lightning to the sky-scape above and the seemingly endless view of our "sky islands".

I prefer, in photography, clouded skies rather than just smooth blue.
You can have calm you and can have more boisterous white clouds, playing with the sea.
