Taken in Tokyo near the Sega game building. The weather was horrible for the first 2 days I was there.
Scattered rain showers around sunset produced some dramatic sky-scapes in Tomahawk 05/07/2020. Trestle bridge over the Wisconsin River from riverwalk trail. [3 image panorama]
An Iridium Flare low to the horizon below the constellation of Cassiopeia as dusk gives way to 'the blue hour'. The ruins framing the sky-scape are those of the church and round tower at Taghadoe west of Maynooth.
I used Topaz Star Effects to highlight the stars that make up the distinctive shape of Cassiopeia.
This is a remake of one of my previous pieces. I think I have improved alot since then and just wanted to see what I could do with it now.
The background I made for another piece, but I think it works quite well with this one too. Its quite similar to what there was before just better.

It is often well worth staying a little longer, not just the sun going down but the afterglow.
The clouds can be very artistic and paint the way so that if you were to put it on canvas with oils, brush or palette-knife.
People would say, oh no, impossible, not on! LOL
Have a wonderful day, filled with love and beauty, M, (*_*)

Today the forecast showed heavy rain 90% at 1100 so I set off to walk the girls and beat the rain. What a waste of time that was it didn't rain. Anyway we still managed a good walk in the fields and woods and four very different images for today. Fungi birds land and sky scapes.
The London Wetland Centre is one of the largest open areas I know in London and is a good place to go for sky-scapes. I went there in hope of stormy skies, but they wouldn't really oblige, however just as I was about to give up and go home this late light struck these trees by one of the lagoons.
I've had to edit the pic a bit, the light was striking but the effect on the trees had been diminished by the camera as there was still a fair amount of light in the sky. I've selectively brightened and increased the contrast on the non sky parts of the image, the sky is as it came off the camera.
Hope you like it!

A little history on how I met Mr. CeZanne Blue- our lovely Aussie of now 12 years on earth with us.... hope we will have many more good times to come!
SO-
Many years ago... I had a dream of a dog who was trying to contact with me thru space. This dog would come to me in my nightly dreams and we both would talk for what seemed a very long time about many things that held great interest to my ways of thinking and feeling about things. We would laugh in the dreams and share the most amazing stories. This dog could feel my emotions and smell my tears and would always know just where to find me. I would look for him when i went to dreamland...and would always feel very whole when he and I did connect. One day the dream seemed to be harder to reach and I searched for this dog in all the places I could think of in Dreamland. The search continued into my waking hours...and even tho I was blessed with two very lovely friends Plava and Odin.... also Australian shepherds... I could not shake this boy from my dreams. I drove my husband nuts talking about it. Both Odin and Plava were not very amused either. I then began a 'real time' search. Secretly, at night I would search for hours for rescue Aussies.... Maybe this was what the dream was all about....Maybe i was suppose to find this dream_dog and provide a loving home. The Search grew intense and i became living between this world and the dreamworld- not uncommon really for most artists and fellow daydreamers....
Time had passed and things clicked one day while up north at a restaurant in Oscoda, MI. My husband and I were having breakfast and both Plava and Odin were waiting inside the truck for us..windows cracked and water was available to them. It was a nice warm but not hot day. We always took the window seats so we could watch them while we ate. The waitress asked us if our dogs were Aussies and we said, Yes they are and we began to exchange stories about dogs...etc... and this particular breed. She was kind and gave us a big glass of ice water to give to them. Even tho they already had water... I decided to give them a fresh bowl..and it did make the waitress happy to do a kind act. A win win situation.
While we were finishing up our breakfast....she mentioned she knew a breeder who raised Aussies but she bred for Dog Shows only. I took the persons name and put it in my purse. Later when back in the city I googled her and studied her line of Aussies. I called- and asked if she ever sold to people who just wanted a dog to love and to have as a family member. She said, "usually not". Her dogs were for the ring!
Sad....to hear as i just had one of those gut feelings this may be the portal in which to find this Dream_dog..... I hung on to the number and a year or so later I called her again. She Remembered me quite clearly and said, "ya know....... we do have two young aussies who will need a home in a few weeks... we are considering a companion home and i am glad you called as you and your husband would be the perfect family for such a dog. I asked why the two girls were available and she said they are show quality but the people who wanted them did not suit her expectations and that she may consider a companion home...as they would need to be homed soon. So, My husband and I took both Plava and Odin to the Ranch in Mt Pleasant.... and naturally fell in love with all the Aussies... adults and the gorgeous pups...When the mistress of the kennel let the pups out from the house... all cascading down a flight of stairs....and there was "this ONE" pup...who had a really black patch of fur on his shoulder..and such glorious markings. This dog and I looked at each other while the other dogs... just ran around and played like most pups will. I immediately asked about this special pup- hoping with all my heart it was one of the two that may come home with us....
Sadly, she told me "no he is super Show quality and is already spoken for". My heart sank....I also learned he was the only Male in the pack. So, we met the two lovely bitches...who were striking as well.... but honestly, they just did not speak to my heart. Odin and Plava were amusing themselves by herding some 'fainting goats' in the pen... they loved this place!!!! They were outside the fence but still never saw goats before and their natural herding instincts were in heaven! while we were outside playing with the pups...I did ask the breeder lady if i could just hold the boy....who was crying big time as the mama walked by. He wanted to have some of her milk and she was sore and nudged him away. He cried so loudly you would think he was being murdered!!!! a real set of lungs on that boy! She did let me hold him and when i picked him up...i could feel he had big heavy bones...and my shirt raised up a tad and my skin on my belly was exposed some -which touched his puppy soft belly. I stopped in my tracks and a tear fell from my one eye, this Boy and I knew... and we connected very strongly.... He was the "DREAMBOY" HE WAS THE ONE I WAS SUPPOSE TO MEET! Pinch me..was I dreaming!
Now awake from the momentary bliss...
The lady breeder put him back inside - telling me again he was spoken for.....
So, we tried to bond with the girls... and eventually, we chose one whom we would call, Skye. We chose this name as the drive there provided us with the most outstanding and dramatic sky_scapes ever!!!! which also provided me with many "drive by shooting photo bliss".
So, we talked with Plava and Odin...telling them a sister would be coming to the family... and we were all getting excited... That night I had my dream again....and my soul stirred and I was not right with the world. I felt as if i lost my dream boy and he wanted me to find him...this all weighed heavily on my heart.
I told my husband and he does this posture of ' scratching his head and shaking it side to side' when i do this sort of thing and said, "diane we already made a deal".
I tried to accept what was-done but the dream haunted my every waking minute...and crept to me as i entered dreamland. A few days had passed and the phone rang_ it was the breeder lady...she asked me if i would be interested in the boy puppy after all...that she thought long and hard about it. I felt torn...as I finally was ok to some degree with the girl we choose... I asked her 'why all of a sudden change in heart". she told me that the person who was going to buy the pup was not what she wanted for him...and really did not give me anymore info on it. So, i closed my eyes and spoke to my heart... asking it what to do..... a day later_ My husband, Plava and Odin took a ride to Mt. Pleasant... to pick up this cheeky puppy.... Our lovely, CeZanne Blue...finally came home.
.....and the rest of the story continues..one day at a time...
story shared by his mama Shewolf.... on his 12th birthday.
A clear view of the Milky Way Band just left of the Galactic Buldge. This shot was taken overhead from Oswego Lake in the New Jersey Pine Barrens with my Rokinon 14mm wide angle lens. If you can remove yourself from light polluted skies on a clear night, you can see this this streak of starlight and dust rip clear across the sky from horizon to horizon. It never looks this defined, but with a simple long exposure, all the colors and details emerge. Kind of makes me feel like an explorer that's stuck on this tiny planet looking out.
