A Sketching day at the home of famous Australian author May Gibbs (Snugglepot and Cuddlepie is her famous children's book with characters from the Australian bush) a beautiful day to be outdoors sketching.
My first page spread I used a .005 pen and didn't quite feel in the mood - certainly my circles were not working - the bird bath was the first thing I drew (being a lefty I often work right to left)
I was really enthusiastic when i did this sketch, less accuracy more movement lets say ^_^;

A small community by Bang Bua canal not far away from Sri Pathum University at the north side of Bangkok. This sketch was made from Bang Bua temple opposite.
While D in L shopped for blouses, I sat in the parking lot in a nearby town and drew the Methodist Church. There were a couple of pickup trucks parked in the lot selling big bags of pecans from Mississippi. What a temptation, but I don't have my sweetheart to crack and pick them out, so it would not have been smart to buy them.
I should paint this, but it just appealed to me like this. Maybe later. I did like the tree, but the rest needs paint to cover shaky lines. Guess I could paint the building and leave the tree?

The other part of my sweet home, drawn from instinct, first try, wednesday evening.
L'autre partie de mon sweet home, croquer d'après instinct, premier essai, mercredi soir.
Evening sketch, between two streets, a bench overlooking the street Prudhon, in my neighborhood. The sky is heavy with clouds for the much awaited rain. I had time to draw till 7 p.m., before rain did begin to fall.

Croquis du soir : entre deux rues, un banc et la vue sur la rue Prudhon, dans mon quartier. Le ciel est chargé de pluie, tant attendue. J’aurais le temps de dessiner jusqu’à 19h avant que les averses ne débutent.

The thought behind:
When I sat down to do a sketch of this guy, it occurred to me that he'd have a pretty hard time of it in a gale. If I had it to do again, or if I do another pass on this particular drawing, I'd like to squash his hat down even further toward his shoulders to better maintain the volume I took in stretching his head out so far back.
I switched it up for this Sketched Flowers image from Simon Says Stamp which I colored for The 30-Day Coloring Challenge and used Prismacolor Pencils to match the colors in Fab Friday Challenge 150. More views and details on my blog: jantink.com/2018/11/fab-friday-150.html
