This sketch was created by Brian Massey via Sketch-It. It's based on a photo of my dog Daisy. And the sketch only cost me $1.
I spend a lot of time on the train, and travel often in the wee hours of the morning. There is nothing more frustrating than having the train stall in the tunnel right before your stop. I was able to ease my annoyance by sketching my fellow weary travelers. I think we were stuck for 20 min, right before 169th Street on the F train.

A quick sketch this morning drawn with my Kaimei brush pen inside a Moleskine Volant journal.
Just some ideas from my scribble pads. Caesar is one of my favorite historical figures (and we share the same birthday exactly 2100 years apart!). Caesar's "Gallic war" (De Bello Gallica) is one of my favorite books ever. One of my greatest dreams is to illustrate this book from front to back in a lush, detailed manner- not a kids book but a grand history book with footnotes and scholarly assessments. So I keep making and collecting scribbles and sketches for this plan. If only I could get hired to do it I'd be on it in a minute.
