Evening sketch : a reader ! with a real book. A rare bird nowadays. The art café, Place Prudhon. Very cleverly, the young hackberry tree is protected by wooden posts, topped with small pieces of iron gleaming in the sunlight. It is graphical and useful. A rarely paid attention to trees.
black and white sketch for my painting Lost/Waiting. I think her face changed too much in the painting, but here she looks too sultry.

Evening sketch, between two streets, a bench overlooking the street Prudhon, in my neighborhood. The sky is heavy with clouds for the much awaited rain. I had time to draw till 7 p.m., before rain did begin to fall.

Visiting my daughter who just bought a beautiful little house (1897) with a garden in Barbezieux. View of the church (XII- XV century) from the street leading to the center. And first work in one of the rooms : taking off the tapestry. My daughter is as beautiful and slim as a gazelle, nothing to do with my result ;)
I tried drawing a 3/4 view, and then used a reference drawing t practice the hair. I thought the eyes on the original were a bit too small, so I adjusted in photoshop.
Reference was from Asia Ladowska's drawing.

I still had at least 5 minutes left once I'd finished my first two sketches of this pose, so I had a go at a couple of smallish pencil sketches from different angles. I wasn't very happy with either of these.
I started yet another sketch, which was going to be a close crop of Eleanor's shoulder from more or less my original vantage point but the pose finished before I could get more than the first line down.

My go at a flickr logo for the Bristol Sketchers group. It's Cabot Tower - an easily spotted landmark on the Bristol skyline.
