I've seen other bloggers and Flickr members post photos of their sketchbooks for the year, so here's mine. Blog post: www.tina-koyama.blogspot.com/2012/12/a-year-plus-of-sketc...
This is a collage of scanned images from a sketchbook whilst in Paris. I used a range of recording skills using different media, and it also acts as evidence of my quick recording skills.

i bought this sketchbook from the fabriano store on our trip to rome last year. Sadly, it's days have come to an end, the last page has been filled. Seriously, it's kind of bumming me out, it was like the perfect size and the paper was so nice.
Anyway, here are some of my drawings. Mostly done on the couch while watching TV/movies in the evening. There's definitely more than one drawing of Tyra in this book.
just some doodles from my smaller sketchbook. i finally added some color this time:) the words are lyrics from the Fiona Apple song, "First Taste."
One of the advantages I find in having a Flickr photostream is that I can organize and compare old work with new. It helps to evaluate new work and find new direction.
None of this sketchbook was painted to be seen, and so has a fresh and lively look made without any inhibition.

I am going away next week and really miss having all my different sketchbooks and papers at home, so I decided to make a sketchbook for my travels with all my favourite papers inside. Watercolour papers of various finishes and weights, bristol board, marker paper, normal everyday bits of white stuff and some odd velum types and a few odd things thrown in for good measure. All stitched together and then a hardback cover for sturdiness. I had this old necklace lying around made with green waxed thread so I used that for a fastening. Loads of fun really.
