Recent putting ideas into a sketchbook and rediscovery of them. I feel as if this is about to become something but it is as if there is a word on the tip of my tongue - it won't quite happen.

Pastels.

revisiting old sketchbooks I found this bit, a pair of pages apparently ripped form another even more tattered tome and preserved inside one of my clip file volumes bulging heavy with taped up clippings, scrawled notes, and Xeroxed mischief.

note the awesome bit in the lower left corner is a clipping of art by the talented Dan Sweetman, I only wish I could flick paint that well.

New from my sketchbook. All things Japanese inspired.

I've used:

- Sakura Micron pen 005 in black and brown

- Colored pencils

- Gold gouache

- Watercolor

- Black pencil

So here it is, the sketchbook compilation that I'm a part of. I have 7 pages of my sketchbook in here (I put 4 pages per page so sort of like 28). I have only included 2 pages from the book here on my flickr so that's still 6 1/2 pages of stuff you haven't seen. The book isn't really about me...it's about all 35 artist, many of which are my favorite artist around today. No one involved with this book is making any money, it's really about the idea of experimental drawings. It's projects like this that keep me excited about art, so I hope you will support it. I will continue to update this week with unused pages until I get to Z. Thanks for looking and reading.

There is going to be a new Go for the Gold coming soon...so here is an old sketchbook page.

I wasn't going to upload this page because I hate it...but I'm trying to share pages from my sketchbook not used in the Meathaus' Anthology "Go For The Gold 3".

I will have more information about that book soon.

More pages of my sketchbook.

This sketch book encourages me to connect with my senses and be more creative.

I also enjoy doing some collage, sticking pieces of recycled paper, stamps, tapes,...it's a lot of fun!

2020 sketchbook selection

A new sketchbook journal looking back to those very special places in my life. Timespan is three quarters of a century and so I am relying on old photos as well as sketches. I shall not make slavish copies of photos but shall use them to recreate that which I once saw and have never forgotten.
