I did these back in the first year. I forgot I had until I was going through all my sketchbooks yesterday.
Recently discovered a large number of my old sketchbooks from Art School. These are some of the pieces I still like.
Moleskine sketchbook and hand*book travelogue. I like the handbook one better, the paper is more pencil-friendly.
I recently decided to perform a long overdue scan of some pages in my current sketchbook. Here is the first haul; some playful drawings of critters, type, golf carts and teepees.
Well I finally had a chance to get out today and do a bit of sketching. I was surprised how rusty I got after only 5 days of not drawing! It took a while to get this one going!
The lady in the drawing, I think, got a bit nervous with me openly staring at her in spurts. I guess I would too if a semi bald asian guy was staring at me.
This was for the Sketchbook Challenge for March 2013

This set includes sketchbook drawings and follows on from last year's drawings of the landscape and places I visit. I tend to pick rural spots as one gets less distracted, if one parks by a busy road or draws in town there can be a lot of hold ups. Like my 2011/10 sketchbooks I have been influenced by David Hockney's recent work from out of doors (Yorkshire). I draw ove both pages. I think this year I may use more water based media, I did so in 2010, but last year worked in graphite and pen. I do not draw these with a view into translating any of them into paintings or prints.
The completed Sketchbook Project, page by page. I combined paper cut work and collages.
